We Are Going Back!

I used to love going to DLR when it was cool, or even cold, back when we lived nearby and would go every week (sometimes multiple times per week). But now that we've moved away and have actually spent several Winters in "real" cold (we lived in Boise for 5 years), I want to visit DLR when it's nice and warm. :)

I understand ~ here in the Ogden area it's currently 24 degrees! Our high tomorrow is 38 :scared1:

But how many people live within 15 minutes of *this* and *this* for summer fun on a boat and 30 minutes from *this* and *this* and *this* ;) :hippie:

Lol, I basically live in a beautiful pine forest, 2 hours from San Francisco, 1.5 hours from Lake Tahoe, 1.5 hours from Six Flags, and day trip distance from Yosemite, world famous aquariums, medical facilities, and museums....without the freezing temps 5 months out of the year! It's tough to beat! The only place I'd rather live is next door to Disneyland, lol.

Aw ~ but see I don't mind cooler weather *as long as we're prepared for it - I hate being hot. This past July was cool and we were not prepared ~ I had to buy DD a $22 Mickey sweatshirt - that she also brought with her for our very recent visit! But I will hope for warm weather and thin crowds for you :wizard:

..and September can be hot...the Scavenger Hunt day was over 107 I think..ack.....I tend to bring the desert heat for some reason when we go..One year it was 105 in May and another it was in the 90s in January..Now, with my luck, we'll probably have blizzards in January 2011...and oh yea..the one time we went to WDW in March it was the freak storm of the century....snow on our way in Crestview Florida, tornado warnings, uprooted palm trees..our first purchase was warm stuff for the kids! All our pictures of that trip have the palm trees leaning w a y over! LOL..ahh..memories :)

I really don't plan that much when I take part of my crew..just a character meal, maybe one at RFC (which I don't like all that much but I get free gifts from MyPoints) and the Fantasmic dessert box.
Nice and easy is the way :)

I'd love to take myself and my kids to N CA ~ ....someday *soon hopefully*

I am hoping for warm (even hot) temps when we go in September! After spending 5 Winters in Idaho, I've done a complete 180 and have gone from a person who loved cool weather (because I grew up in Southern California and hardly ever had to deal with it), to a person who loves warm/hot weather.:rotfl2:

This will be our very first "nice and easy" trip EVER. Hard for me to believe, but it's true! All the kids can finally ride everything (well, we'll have to see if the youngest sprouts up enough for Screamin'), we won't have to use strollers (which, we didn't have to last time either, but my MIL was in a wheelchair, and in a lot of ways that was more stressful than dealing with a stroller, to be honest), and we won't be dealing with loading kids into a vehicle or the parking garage at ALL!! I am soooooo looking forward to it! :goodvibes

I've been through Northern Utah several times, and it seems like we had to drive through a storm each and every time, lol. My kids love the Museum of Ancient History! Wish we had that here.

I feel this statement DS6 hit the magic 48" last week YAY! Dont have to tell him that he is too little to ride anything!
