We have Disney fever!!! My husband and I took our children (ages 4 and 5) in January and it was spectacular. My husband shocked me by saying he wants to go back... so I started planning and we are going to surprise my in-laws with a trip in August!! We won't tell the girls until we wake them up the morning we leave (b/c they won't sleep until then if we do!), but I came up with this poem to tell my inlaws. I can't wait to see their faces!!!
My 1st child starts kindergarten in September and this is the perfect way to end that part of our lives.
Today will race past us
As you both know very well
Soon your grandchildren will grow up
Oh what stories they will tell!!!!
Tales of many adventures
To the river and the beach
With an extra hour of daylight
Always just out of reach.
There will be memories of family
Boat rides and more
And recalled fantasies
Of backyards and sandy shores.
After the laughter, tears and joy
And other issues in their small worlds
Courtney and Kendall will grow up---
Young ladies replacing little girls.
In the meantime we make the most
Of the moments that occur
And plan for tomorrow
Knowing today is a blur.
Grandparents are priceless
And family ties are, too
Which is why we want to celebrate
Something special with you.
August 24th through August 28th is reserved
Then a new life chapter will begin
We want to share something extraordinary
With you and the children!
So, perk up your Ears
And try to keep the tears from flowing
Its the trip of a lifetime
And ALL OF US are going!
The magic never ends
Oh what sights you will see!
When You Wish Upon a Star
You can only be at Disney!
