My fiance and I had originally wanted to get married at a Beaches Resort. We started getting prices and realized that because of the high price tag, no one would be able to come. We had planned a trip to Disney this December so we decided to get married at the same time. Our wedding will be small, probably less than 20 people. I'm a little concerned that I can't nail down a date. I was told that I can't reserve a date until 6 months out. Is this true for everyone?

The rules depend on what type of event you do. According to the website, Escape weddings, up to 18 guests plus the bride and groom, can be booked 8 months out. I think the 6 month rule is for Memories collection, but those are (I THINK) 4 guests and couple? And yeah, Disney sticks to guest counts. religiously.

That is generally par for the course in terms of getting contracts finalized etc.... However you should be well within the windows for both escape and wishes weddings at this juncture. Have you spoken to DFTW? They ought to be able to tell you what venues and dates ate available and pencil you in. This begins Tge process. There can be lots of ins and outs which ate specific to your situation, but have you contacted them?

Well, I am having a wishes and I am also having a hard time getting them to give me a date. I am getting married in the MK at the castle so I think that is part of the issue. I was told it will probably be closer to the 6 month mark before i get a date.
