I just wanted to let you all know that we have made it home safely. I have posted here several times about my DS6 with Autism and him flying.

Well, He was WONDERFUL on the plane, he did have a small melt down at security but the airport staff was not helpful so I believe that was alot of the problem.

We was totally fine with staying in the stroller or walking at the parks - he wasnt upset that we were sleeping somewhere else. It was a WONDERFUL experience. Granted he did have a couple of "meltdowns" but nothing too stressfull. And yesterday on the way home from WDW our flight was delayed by about 4 hours and he did very well waiting at the airport. So I just wanted to let everyone know it went well and Thanks again for all the Advise. Now I have to unpack and get back to "reality" UGH.

Thanks again.

I'm SO HAPPY to hear that you all had a good time! :cool1:

Sounds like he did very well on the trip. :thumbsup2

So, did he have to take off his shoes at airport security? If so, how did that go?

Also, did you get a GAC card?

Did you have any really special moments?

:listen:

Yes taking off the shoes was still a small problem- but like I said before the airport staff at DFW wasnt so kind- So they were trying to rush us through and there was no one in line behind us so that kind of set him off.

We did get a GAC and boy what a lifesaver! I cant imagine having to stand in the super crowded lines with him.

He laughed out loud on Dumbo- and when he met Woody- he had to check the bottom of Woody's boot to see if it was really him- it was the cutest thing ever. Both of my DS had a blast and the FIREWORKS - just watching their faces while they watched the fireworks at the MVMCP made me cry - it was truely a "Magical Disney Moment"

My youngest DD had a 'shoe moment' with Cinderella. She signed to us that she wanted to see Cinderella's shoes. Cinderella was great. She said she tried not to wear the glass slippers because she didn't want to lose one.

Glad to hear you had a good time.
