4 days! I can't quite believe it!

I hope everyone had a fabulous Halloween! We had a great time, Savannah was Spidergirl. We went trick-or-treating with all our friends and then to a party for the older kids in our homeschool group! Lots of fun and now I have 5 girls here, crashed out from the sugar, I'm sure they will be zombies once they wake up around lunchtime!

Yep, totally in denial about the trip...I think Rey is too, he has not packed a THING! I have petsitting this weekend and somehow thought it would be ok to schedule a photo shoot at 3pm on Sunday, just 12 HOURS before we actually have to leave the house?!?!?

Savannah’s eye makeup was awesome! I saw this pic on FB last night and showed True, and she was like, “Wow!” I also saw the pic of Kya as Batgirl with a kid who I assumed was Jace dressed as the Minecraft guy. I showed Coy the pic of the Minecraft guy and he got a real kick out of it! It’s wonderful that you have a homeschool group that does fun things like this! Is the weather warm out there now? So many kids are in short sleeves! I was FREEZING last night! Then again, you know how I am with the cold! Anyway, I agree with Ann that you are a brave woman to have 5 teenaged girls in your house when you only have 4 days left until your trip! AND you have a photo shoot 12 hours before you leave on your trip! AND you have an unpacked husband! You must have a lot of self-control, because I would have packed his bag by now!

Yep, that was Jace dressed as Steve from Minecraft. He looked great but said he was taking a note for the future- he doesn't like masks!

It was chilly on Halloween but the kids were running around so much that they kept warm. And I think they may be a bit more used to the cold than you are, Erin!

Oh my goodness, what is it with kids and masks?!? Coy was a Darth Vader Warlock (don’t ask ) and he got sick of wearing his mask after about 5 minutes. So guess who was stuck carrying his mask around while he and True trick or treated for an hour and a half? Me! Please tell Jace that we all thought his costume was awesome! And yes, I believe your kids and their friends are much more used to cold weather than I am. I wasn’t built for this weather. I need to live in a place like Hawaii!

TOMORROW is the DAY!!!

WOOT! I printed our boarding passes and tomorrow at this time we will be arriving in Chicago for our layover! Today is going to fly, I have a ton of stuff to do. Luckily Rey pulled out some clothes and considered what to bring yesterday, so we're at least making some headway.

TMI alert: Ok, totally not appropriate for a public board, but I'm not an appropriate person. MONTHS I have planned this trip, Rey and I rarely get any "alone time" b/c of the way our house is set up (Savannah's room is THRU our room and we really have little privacy)...and guess who arrived this morning, the day before our trip?!?! I knew it might come, but hoped we would get a day or so into the trip, but when it came this morning, I literally cried. I feel like it took some of the romance from the trip and I am hoping it's not as bad as last month or I'm not going to be very comfortable even touring.

BUT, I'm going to WDW, so I just have to get over it! The wide angle lens that I rented arrived and I've been playing with it. I cannot WAIT to get some shots at Disney with it, I LOVE how wide it is! Here's a shot I took of the sunrise in a little park near our house yesterday morning.

Anyway, this will probably be the last update here until I get back and start my TR!!! Those of you on FB will definitely be getting lots of updates and phone-pics during the trip though!!!

Ok, so I have been posting on FB, but had to share here with my DIS peeps that will really GET IT! I have insomnia, and it was so cool to get up at 3:30 this morning and fo down to AKL lobby! I spent a lot of time taking shots of the deserted lobby, I am so excited about them, I hope they come out.

Now I am back at the room, sitting out on the balcony, drinking my coffee and I can hear them testing sounds/music over at Animal Kingdom! People are right that you can SMELL the animals from your balcony, but I love it! It's REAL and beautiful. Oh, did I mention, I can see Everest from my balcony!!?!?!!!!

We will be headed to CP this morning and enjoying MK until it gets crowded, then head to Epcot for some food and wine! BACK to MK tonight as it is open until 1am! Woot!!!
