We are back from a horrible trip

We arrived back at home yesterday evening. And I am just back from the doctor and I am now official sick until the end of the week. I caught an awful flu while waiting for Fantillusion and I have a tendosynovitis in the right foot. I had a loot of pain to walk at DLRP. On two days I had a stepcounter with me. And on both days we did more than 20000 steps.
And so this trip was unfortunetaly horrible for me.

But everything Disney was more than perfekt. Christmas at DLRP is sooo beautiful. Our stay at the SL was great. We had a Montana lake view room.
Enchanted candlebration and Fantillusion were the highlights of our trip. And we only planned this trip around Fantillusion.

The weather was very unsettled. Wednesday (our Paris day) we had spring weather with blue sky. On Thursday and Friday (first 2 Disney days) we had cold weather and some rain. On Saturday it was again a spring day. And the resort was more than crowded. We will definitely not go again during a weekend. (POTC 60 min, SM2 120 min, BTM 120 min)
And on Sunday we had really bad weather. Strong storm, and lot of rain. And as I also had fever and my foot was aching badly we spent the most of the time in our hotel room.
I will show you some photos and will write a trip report next week when I feel better.

Oh no, I am so sorry you had to get sick on your trip! It's always somewhere in the back of my mind, hoping that we won't but you just never know. The flu as well is bad enough but tendosynovitis too, that really sucks! I admit I had to look up tendosynovitis, I haven't heard of it before now. You caught the flu while waiting for Fantalusion but it's every day now isn't it? Did you have one good day in Disneyland at least? I hope so.

I'm glad your stay at the hotel went well however and that the parks were all you dreamed they would be, at least. Disney didn't let you down . I have said to that on our next trip we won't go during a weekend because the crowds really grew then! Fantalusion was really nice though wasn't it ! Beautiful! I hope you feel better soon and that your next trip has gorgeous weather and no crowds . At least you can't get sick next time, the odds are surely against that!

Yes we had nevertheless a great trip and many good memories. Especially Thursday was great when the park was empty. We rode Phantom Manor in the morning and there were only 11 people in the elevator with us. And almost no one wanted to queue for BTM. And we only had 2 minutes waiting time for Crush after it had been broken down several times on Thursday.

And yes Fantilllusion is great. From this week on it is every day. But last week it was only on weekends. So we had no Fantillusion on Thursday.

But Saturday was horrible. This is what POTC looked like. The end of the line was deep in Adventureland.

OMG!!! How long is that line!!! I have never seen a queue that long at DLP, thank goodness.

Really pleased my Feb trip starts on a Monday and ends on a Friday, no weekend for me!

Gute Besserung Marcus!! So sorry that the trip went crooked.

That line for POTC is amazing... Last year I was at DLRP on the weekend of 12/5/7 so similar time and it was certainly NOT like that.

And being ill on vacation is certainly not fun. But that means that you must plan for a return visit soon to have better memories!

Yeah, we were there on Saturday too. We just ran up for the weekend. It was horrible! I'm glad we can go whenever we want, but it's hard to figure out a time when the weather/schools will line up.

I'm so sorry you were unwell and the weather was unkind to you too and as for the crowds and the queues I do sympathise, having been in the same predicament the previous Saturday. Highlight of our trip too was seeing Fantillusion, it's nearly 4 years since I last saw it and I'd almost forgotten how fabulous it is.

Hope you're on the mend now.
