We are back after a great trip. I will write a trip report and show some pictures in 10 days or so. But here a short summary:

Monday 5. June
Paris
one night in the Explorer hotel (great for families!)

Tuesday 6. June
check in to the Disneyland Hotel :Pinkbounc
DL+Studios
Diner at the SL

Wednesday 7. June (My birthday)
DL+Studios
Diner at the Califoria Grill (the greates dinner ever in DLRP!)

Thursday 8. June
DL+Studios
Dinner at Walt's. They also serve Cinderellas slipper! And this one is even better than the one in the Auberge!

Friday 9. June
Day trip to Paris
8:45pm Studios for the CAR's premier for the Shareholders! This was a great event. The film is OK but can not be compared to Nemo or the Monsters Inc! After the film we could leave the studios via the backstage aera! That was great! :thumbsup2
Check in Holiday Inn for 2 nights

Saturday 10. June
DL+Studios
I never have seen the park so crowded! Not even on New Years Eve!!! It was horrible! We almost have done no rides!
Waiting time to get a FP for BTM 10 min
Waiting time to ride BTM with your FP 30 min
Waiting time to ride BTM without a FP 120 min!!!!!!
Waiting time for PM 60 Minutes!
But we wanted to go on Saturday because we wanted to see the fireworks. And this was great! Only 5 minutes but fantastic!
We had dinner at the Auberge!

Sunday
check out Holiday Inn
La Vallée Outlet Shooping (not bad, but not a must do for us!)

All in all this was a great trip also we had a lot of truble in the DLH and in all restaurants. More details in the trip report that will follow soon.

We have seen Tarzan 4 times! The greates show ever! And we haven't seen The Lion King on this trip! But the Lion King can not be compared to Tarzan anyhow! :woohoo:

The weather was great! Almost to hot! 31 degree on Saturday! We got a big sunburn on Tuesday! And we had to buy suncream and a basecap at the resort!

Just to show you how growded the park was on Saturday!

Wow! When you look at all those people it is tremendous.

Welcome back Marcus! :wave2:

Now that is busy!!! :crowded:

Glad you had a great time, can't wait to hear all the details! :Pinkbounc

Oh goodness Marcus! That is horribly crowded - looks like a total nightmare. I think on that day I would have given up and gone elsewhere for the day!!

Sounds like your birthday was a great day (did he spoil you?;) ) Looking forward to seeing the full trip report and hearing about your different experiences in the hotels (you certainly did hop from one to another :teeth: )

OK, before I start an extra thread for my trip report. I want to add here some negative facts of our trip. Please don’t get me wrong we had a wonderful 12th trip. But now that I have been 12 times to the resort I noticed some negative facts that can’t be a coincidence.
First:
The Disneyhotels. As you can see in my signature we always stayed in one of the Disney Hotels. And now I know that you only get a beautiful room if you DON’T use a 3=2 or 4=3 offer! Anytime we used such an offer we had the lousiest rooms. In NPBC we had a room above the baggage claim area, in the SL they wanted to give us a smoker room with view to the garbage cans. In the DLH they wanted to give us a room with scaffolding and they said we have been informed about that. (but we haven’t; I actually wrote them a mail and asked if there is an refurbishment going on and they answered NO!)
And this time we also booked 3=2 and we get a room with no view at all. We were on the Fantasia Gardens side, and we only had trees in front of our window. OK this is not so bad, but the second disappointment was the fact that they gave us a room with only one bed; although I asked during the booking for a room with 2 beds. When I complained about that at the reception they gave us VIP FP and the receptionist tried to explain why our wish wasn’t granted. He said all the notes in this system are not visible for the hotel. So if you have a special request you should always write a fax 2 days before you arrive and then they can help you.
That is very strange to me. I don’t understand why at DLRP the left hand doesn’t know what the right one is doing.
It is the same with your customer number. Our last visit was in January. And 6 weeks later I booked this trip and said “I have a customer number so I don’t have to give you all my details again!” And the CM on the phone replied: We delete our customer numbers from time to time!”
How strange is that? Nowadays there is nothing more important than to look after your customer data! But DLRP don’t want to do that! And so I get with any booking a new customer number!

Second: Like I wrote above: we always have problems in the restaurants. And I think I know why. In the DLH there is in every restaurant only one table for 2 persons. And so we always get one of these tables. And when we were in the California Grill for my birthday they gave us the only table for 2 persons that they have; although I left a massage during reservation that I would like to have a table with no limited view!

That was the view from our table.

And then I asked politely if we could get another table and they gave us a table for 4 persons in the big room. There the refurbishment is already finished and they removed the foil from the windows. And look what we had for a magnificent view!

We had similar problems at Walt’s and at the Auberge!
The Auberge was almost empty only two tables were taken. And the CM gave us the first table at the door, in the darkest corner of the restaurant, were everybody had to walk by your table to get in or out.
At Walt’s I asked very politely in French if we could get a table at Adventureland. And the CM said very rude “Non”! You can get a table at Mainstreet, Discoveryland or Frontierland!
And I think I know why. These three rooms are viewable from Mainstreet and many people say “I don’t go into an empty restaurant, disco ect!” That is the same in the Auberge. They gave us this table, because the restaurant was almost empty, but everybody could see our table from outside!

In the Auberge the CM finally said “OK, you can choose your table by yourself!” and at Walt’s we got a table at Adventureland but we were there all alone! All other guests were in MS, DL or FL!

Did someone of you made similar experiences? :confused3
And why can't the restaurant see the comments from the reservation, and why can't the hotels see the comments from the reservation?

Sounds like a great trip.

I like the idea of changing hotels, so you can experience them all.

And now I know that you only get a beautiful room if you DON’T use a 3=2 or 4=3 offer! Anytime we used such an offer we had the lousiest rooms.

Interesting theory :scratchin When we stayed at the NPB in November we were using one of the upgrade offers, and the view certainly wasn't very special.

I suppose that they have got to give the rooms and tables with no view to someone - and that was obviously you this trip!!! ;)

Yes this could be true. And during our last 5 trips I thought the same! "Someone has to take this room/table."
But if this happens to you on 6 consecutive trips you start thinking!!! :smooth:

I bet you do!! I wonder why you keep getting the short straw? :confused3

I have to say the only time we stayed onsite we stayed in the Hotel New York and used the 4 for 3 or 5 for 4 and had a lake side room on the DV side.
On the other hand we always get a table in Billy Bobs on the left side the fathest away from the buffet with the worst waiting staff. We are fairly easy going. It is definately helpful if they can keep notes and dont loose them.

Sorry you had a bad room.
The Holiday Inn Is a lovely hotel if you wanted to try something else.

The room was not bad, but I was dissapointed that we didn't get a room with two beds like we requested.

And I can't understand why the hotel can't see the comments from the booking department! :confused3

Yes, it does seem like you are getting the short straw every time Marcus. :confused3 :sad2:

I think you should be writing / emailing a letter letting them know how they can improve.

I think the restraunt thing especialy Walts is often each waiter has a zone and they allways use those tables, this helps them keep serivce quick etc. If there was only a few waiters on if it was quiet they might only use their zones.

Bump!
This was the first topic for our June trip with some pictures, a short summary and the negative points of our trip!

I just posted the first part of the TR in another thread!

Enjoy! :surfweb:
