We adopted from South Korea, he is almost 19, and starting his second year of college, and our youngest son is 16 , he was born in the Phillipines. Both were special needs adoptions, they were each born with a cleft lip and palate.

After 11 wonderful years of marriage my husband and I have made the decision to adopt. I haven't been around much lately because we have been concentrating on paperwork and preparing for our Homestudy. Our first home study visit is on Wednesday. We are adopting a child from South Korea. Just wanted to share!!!!!

Congratulations! All of ours are domestic adoptions through the foster care system, but international adoption sounds so neat too! For so long I wanted the experience of having a child and being pregnant and all that, but I realize now that the experience of adopting is an amazing miracle that even fewer of us are fortunate enough to enjoy. We all celebrate and are proud of the fact that we are a family through adoption. In fact, its one of the first things out of my 10yo's mouth when he meets new people.
