We also were on the Dream last week, here are our thoughts

So apparently this is the new norm and Golden Mickeys is on hiatus for the spring/summer.

I just found a navigator from the cruise before yours and Black Panther movie. The main shows were BatB, Believe, BatB, Black Panther (I forget the order).
At that point, Black Panther was a PG13 movie that had been out for quite some time.

So on a 4 night, for my family (MIL, FIL, me, DH, DS-12, DD-5, DS-5), we really only have two nights we could go to the main show (same with Avengers). My MIL does not want to see a violent superhero movie and my twins are too young for that (especially in a theater).

We are spending a lot of money to go with Disney because we have young and old in our party. We thought the premium would be worth it partly because of the shows we could attend as a family. I don't even mind the repeat of BatB, and I understand we can go see the juggler/musician/magician in another place, but really 2/4 nights of main show entertainment when we paid for a 4 night cruise (in peak cruise time)?
Incredibles 2 comes out just before our cruise, so here's to hoping that if one night main show is a movie, it is that movie as at least my whole family can watch that.
We could take or leave Marvel, but we do not like how Disney acts like Marvel is for young children, putting it in the kids club and marketing it to kids. It is pg-13! And Marvel has a dark edge that Star Wars does not have.

Whether Star Wars or Marvel is darker can definitely be argued about.

There are a LOT of Marvel cartoons in addition to the movies. That was my son's only exposure for many years. So Disney has more than one angle. There are also kid-specific versions of the comic books.

Yes, you could write a thesis on it! But, we are not thrilled about Marvel in the kids clubs. Seems out of place-- just our take on it.

For specific reasons I can't recall, we have walked through the adult pool area with our two boys (7 and 9 now) several times over the last 4 years. We tell them before we enter, "quite, not a word "and "walk with a purpose." We walk around the outer edge of the area.

Estimate no more than ten seconds. Probably more like 5. I believe that is reasonable and respectful. I will continue that practice if necessary.

As an adult enjoying my time in the adult area I've never been upset about a quick walk through with their parents. Its just when they stop, sit down or try to get in the pool.
