We All Want a Jar of Hunny!~A Nov. 2010 TR! *NEW October PTR 4/4, pg 42!!!*

Waaaaahhh!! :( (Part 2)

On the way out, I had to stop at Mousegears and again, I stopped to look at all the Disney Dooney's. I really wanted one, and I had a decent amount of spending money left over, so I kept asking Brandon if I should buy one. He kept telling me to do what I want, he didn't care. So I would decide to buy one, pick it up, and 2 seconds later, say forget it, put it back, and tell Brandon we should leave. Then I would say "wait, I'm gonna get it" and make us turn around, and the whole process would start over again! This went on for at least 30 minutes!

I finally did buy a Disney Dooney :lovestruc but you will have to wait til my souvenir update to find out which one! :yay:

Unfortunately, it was pretty late by then, and as much as I wanted to stay til the end of magic hours, we were both so exhausted and dreading getting up for our early flight in the morning that we decided it was time to leave Epcot. :sad1:

I took my time leaving. It's hard enough leaving Disney World all together, but it's especially hard for me to leave Epcot. I just tried to soak it all in one last time as we were walking by Spaceship Earth. The music...the colorful palm trees

I took one last look at Spaceship Earth

IMG_2452.jpg

and that was it. I had to walk out or I would have probably thrown myself on the ground and refused to leave!

We were so tired and didn't feel like walking, so we hopped on the tram that was just sitting and waiting...and totally empty! We sat in the front and I turned around and took a picture of the empty tram

IMG_2454.jpg

Weird! The driver didn't bother waiting to see if anyone else was going to get on, clearly no one was, so we were on our way to our car.

Once our personal tram dropped us off and we found our car, it was back to POR for one last night. I honestly don't remember anything about that night at all, I'm sure I finished packing and went to sleep sad! I'm sure I kept Stacey on all night, too!

The next morning, we had to get up bright (well, not really, it was still dark!) and early to get to the airport to catch our flight. I'm a freak about getting to the airport early and Brandon hates it, which I think I explained at the beginning of this TR!

We checked out of POR and made the sad, depressing drive to the airport. The sun was starting to come up, which was really beautiful, it actually lifted my spirits a little, and made me feel really grateful that I'm able to come to Florida and Disney World as much as I do.

IMG_2461.jpg

I don't know when I took this, if we were close or not...but that was our destination!

IMG_2459.jpg

We made it to the airport and dropped off our car at Alamo with no problem! Then we went to find the Southwest counter where of course, there was a huge line! Why is it that SW is the ONLY counter at MCO with huge lines? After waiting forever, we checked our bags only to find another huge line for security! See, this is why I like to get to the airport early! If we left when Brandon wanted to, we would miss our flights all the time!

We made it through the security area and went to find our gate, which was really crowded! There was nowhere to sit, so we had to stand, and I was so tired! Finally we were ready to board the plane, and we took seats in the back, hoping no one would sit in our row this time! Luckily no one did, and we had a very pleasant trip back to CT.

Once we got off the plane, we went to get our luggage and wait outside for a shuttle to take us back to our car in long term parking. It was so cold and gray and miserable and neither one of us was happy to be back in CT. :sad2:

Finally, we arrived home, after stopping for lunch somewhere (I don't remember where, Subway maybe?) and I wasn't so upset anymore, I was happy to be home, to be able to sleep in my own bed, do my laundry without 10 other people doing the same thing with me, pet my kitties (one of which, was terrified of us, since we were gone so long, I guess she forgot who we were! :rotfl:)

That's it! Another fantastic trip is over! So happy I could share it with all of you, and that most of you stuck with me through the whole thing! I know I'm not the most entertaining writer, but I love reading other people's TR's, and I'm glad a few people seem to like mine! :thumbsup2

I don't want to say too much about the trip now, I'll leave that for my final thoughts! I should probably get my camera out and take pictures of those souvenirs! So don't go away yet, guys, there are still a couple updates left, and I will tell you all when I start my PTR too! :cool1: Stay tuned!!

so sad that it's over but now you can relive it in my TR which I'll start this weekend!!!

My bro got me a DB for my birthday which blew me out of the water!!! I'll be surprised to see which one you got!

I loved your trip report. My family is planning to go around the same time as you. We will also be staying at POR. I love the Christmas Mickey ears. I can't wait to see the Christmas decorations, I've never seen them. Have fun planning another trip!:dance3:

I felt your pain in leaving Epcot. You had such a good trip though, and it was fun getting to enjoy it with you (well, you know, in words and pictures:goodvibes).

I really want to know what Dooney and Burke you got. I so want one.

Norway is a great place to watch, isn't it????? I love it there.

Beautiful pictures of your last night and the pic on the boat is priceless.

I know that feeling of trying to soak in every last sight and sound before leaving the magic. I agree that Epcot is one of the hardest parks to leave.

The morning sunrise was spectacular. And its so great that it reminded you to be grateful for your trip instead of sad it was over.

My cats always freak out when they haven't seen me for awhile, too. It makes me sad cause I hate to see them stressed. But they usually get over it in about 5 minutes or whenever I give them a treat. Silly cats!

Sorry to see your TR end. I really enjoyed it!!!!!!!

Can I just say that I have been thinking about you all week because of your "I hate March" comment. It is freezing here and I am definitely hating March right now. It can't end soon enough for me! You were right! :rotfl:

LOL, see??? March is a terrible month! We had the most beautiful day last Friday, it was sunny and in the 70's...then Monday it snowed. Then it snowed Wednesday into Thursday again. :sad2: I just want the Spring to be here, then skip the Summer and go right into Fall!

so sad that it's over but now you can relive it in my TR which I'll start this weekend!!!

My bro got me a DB for my birthday which blew me out of the water!!! I'll be surprised to see which one you got!

Yay, I can't wait til you start your TR!

Wow, nice birthday present! I asked my DH to buy me the $210 sketch Lucy DB bag, but surprisingly, he said no! :rotfl: Guess I'll just have to wait til I'm down there to get another one!

Awww, it's over :( I'm so glad you guys had a lovely trip, though! :yay:

We had an amazing trip! :woohoo:

PS-I know I never joined your Disneyland PTR, but I've been reading, and I'm sorry you had to cancel! :goodvibes How's the job search going?

Thanks! I love going around the holidays, even though it's mid November, it gets you in the Christmas spirit early! And I love coming home and having it be Thanksgiving a few days later! I definitely would like to go again, maybe in December to see the Candlelight Processional! You're going to love the decorations! :cool1:

I felt your pain in leaving Epcot. You had such a good trip though, and it was fun getting to enjoy it with you (well, you know, in words and pictures:goodvibes).

Leaving Epcot is so hard! Leaving Disney property is hard! Luckily though, I was already planning my next trip in my mind, which is the only thing that gets me through the going home process! :)

I'll do my souvenir update soon, maybe tomorrow if I remember to take the rest of the pictures, so you can see the DB I got!

Norway is an amazing place for Illuminations! You're so close to everything!

It's so hard to leave the last park you're in, but especially Epcot! I wonder if I should stop going to Epcot on my last night?

2 of my cats really couldn't care less if I'm there or not, when I'm gone for a week and come home, it's like nothing ever happened, but my little baby, Belle, seemed like she had no idea who we were when we walked in! She's weird though, we got her right before Christmas in 09, and she's just started to warm up to us in the past few months!

Thanks! I'm sorry to see my TR end too, but I can't wait to start rambling about my next trip for the next 6 months in my new PTR (whenever I get around to starting that! :rolleyes1)

I was feeling your final day emotions whilst reading - I think I may be in tears when our trip comes to an end...don't even want to think about it :sad2:

Am looking forward to seeing your souveniers and Dooney bag!! :thumbsup2 Laughed at you changing your mind as I would have been the same

Yay on having a Gran Fiesta boat all to yourselves...sounds like fun! Also thanks for the tip on watching Illuminations in Norway - will def be trying that view!

Love the sunrise pics - they are gorgeous. Am also glad you didn't feel so bad at being at home on arrival, after seeing your kitties :goodvibes

Leaving the last night is soooo hard. I always try to look at the icon (either SE or the castle for us) as long as possible. :sad1:

I'm so sad the trip portion of your report is over! But, I'm excited to see this Disney D&B and hear your final thought! :goodvibes

WAHHHHH! I can't believe it's over! :sad1: It was a great TR! Thank you so much for sharing it with us!

That Grand Fiesta tour ride sounds like a blast! I love it when we are on almost empty rides. It's great!

YOU BOUGHT A DOONEY & BOURKE BAG! I was just sitting around yesterday thinking about how much I want another one. I can't wait to see which one you got! :goodvibes

That empty tram picture is so cool! I don't think that has ever happened to us!

I'm so sad your TR is over, but I am ready for that PTR! I can't wait! :thumbsup2

LOL, it's definitely hard leaving the last park of the trip! :sad1: But don't worry about that yet, just be excited for your trip!

I can't believe how many times I changed my mind about buying the D&B bag...but I'm glad I did, I love it!

Norway is a great place for Illuminations! I'd like to try the bridge between France and England sometime, but that spot fills up quickly!

Thanks, the sunrise was beautiful that day! :)

I do the same thing leaving the last park, try to stop and look at the icon for as long as I can, before I drag myself out of there! It's usually SE for us too, but on our Disneymoon, we ended with DHS, which was strange! We have never ended a trip with MK...I think that might be way too sad! Even though Epcot is my favorite park, I don't think I could leave the castle on my last day!

I'm sad my TR is almost over too! But it lasted pretty long, and brought me up to my ADR's for my next trip (next Sunday!)!! So excited to start a new PTR!!

WAHHHHH! I can't believe it's over! :sad1: It was a great TR! Thank you so much for sharing it with us!

AHHH, I know, I can't believe it's over either! :( But thanks, I loved writing it, it's fun reliving your trip while writing a TR!

I love the Gran Fiesta tour, and having an empty boat was awesome! I love empty rides!

I want another D&B bag too! I really want a crossbody bag like yours for my trip, but I'm not sure which pattern I want, the sketch or the 40th anniversary...:confused3.

I am HOPING to start my PTR next week, a few days before I make ADR's, but if not, it will definitely be the week after, it depends on when I finish this up! I have limited DIS time this weekend, since Brandon and I are dog sitting for his parents. And I still am not sure of a title...:scared1: Any suggestions??? :yay:

I've loved reading your TR and I'm so glad you took the time to write it. I'm feeling very inspired to go ahead and finish up my TR, now. Although, I still have a whole day left, so it might take me awhile still.

I'm glad you went ahead and got the D&B. I'll be curious to see which one you picked, too.

Thanks! You weren't going to give up on your TR were you? I love reading it, I hope you finish! Are you going to do a PTR for October? I cannot wait to start mine, I hope I can start it by the end of this week!

I'm happy with the D&B I got, I use it every day! I'm definitely going to do my souvenir update tomorrow and show you all my purse!

And I'm going to "reveal" the PTR title I was thinking of and see if everyone thinks it's either cute or lame...it could go either way!

Oh the end. *sniff* It's always so sad.

I have such a hard time leaving my last park of the trip. Epcot was a great choice for last park though. I loved following along, but I'm excited about your upcoming PTR!

Jen, so sorry to see your trip over. I enjoyed following you and Brandon on the trip and look forward to final thoughts, etc. Please be sure to let me know when you start your PTR so I don't miss out on it. :)

No way! I'd never quit a TR and leave the trip just hanging out there in limbo. I just meant I'm going to hurry and post longer updates rather than letting it amble along and be finished in a few months.

I don't know about a PTR for October. I'm actually putting more of a focus on our May trip. Jeremy's going on a business trip to Florida and I thought I might as well take the boys to Disney for a few days instead of staying home by ourselves. Since it's coming up really fast, I've been scrambling getting our room booked and finding acceptable ADRs.

If I did start a PTR, it would probably be for May. And then, I'd want to write a May TR and I wouldn't get around to starting October's PTR til August or so. I'm definitely looking forward to reading your PTR. Maybe there'll be some good ideas I can steal. :rolleyes1

Are you guys planning a last minute May trip, too? We both went in May 2010 and again at Christmastime and picked the same week in October, so we seem to be on a similar Disney schedule.

I really need to sit down and look seriously at the October hours. One week from today til ADR time!

LOL! The end of a TR is so hard...my first TR (the one I did before this, from my Disneymoon) I didn't know how to end, and didn't want it to end, so I just kept dragging it out! At least I know what to do with this one...kind of. It is sad, though, remembering the end of my trip! :sad1:

I love ending our trips at Epcot, I always try to begin and end at my favorite park!

Thank you! :goodvibes I will definitely let you know when I start the PTR, probably at the end of this week, I'm HOPING, right before my ADR's!

Yay, I love your TR! :) I think you update pretty frequently, I'm sure you will finish it up soon!

I didn't know you were going on a May trip! I'm so jealous! I loved going in May last year!

We were actually going to go in May this year, for our 1 year anniversary, but decided against it. I'm hoping to go in May for a few days next year for our 2 year anniversary, but maybe push it back to the end of month for Star Wars weekends (our anniversary is May 1)!! :yay:

You should definitely do a PTR for your May trip, especially since it's so close, it will be really simple, you won't have to worry about what to talk about for 6 months like I'm going to! :rotfl:

Souvenirs!!

Hi everyone! I guess it's finally that time...to really start finishing up this TR! I know I have a lot of your PTR's/TR's to get caught up on, which I will do later tonight, (AFTER I go on my elliptical-no more DIS'ing tonight if I don't exercise, it's my reward to myself! :rotfl:) because I really want to do this souvenir update!

So...here they are!

First, are the 2 shirts Brandon bought and wore on the trip, which I'm sure you recognize from the pictures!

IMG_2512.jpg

Next...the shirt I bought when I got soaked on Splash Mountain!

IMG_2511.jpg

Earrings from Morocco

IMG_2509.jpg

Nemo snow globe!

IMG_2506.jpg

Instead of buying a million ornaments, I only bought 3 on this trip! And the Monsters Inc. one was for my mom, so it doesn't count!!

IMG_2463.jpg

Different candy and goodies I got while I was there!

IMG_2465.jpg

I LOVE this mug! I still use it all the time, and I actually don't like Brandon to use it, I'm afraid he will scratch it! And the shot glass is cute, but I don't use that, it's just displayed in my bedroom!

IMG_2467.jpg

Christmas cards and pictures I hung up-I got the one of Mickey and Minnie getting married on this trip because I remember wanting on my Disneymoon but not getting it for some reason!

IMG_2470.jpg

And finally...my Disney Dooney and Bourke!

IMG_2472.jpg

I know it's one of the less popular ones but I love it! It's Disney, without being too obvious. Although, now I really want a 40th anniversary bag or the sketch Lucy bag...both of which, are very obviously Disney purses!

There you have it, all of the things I bought! I always go overboard when shopping in Disney but honestly, I hardly ever buy myself anything during the year, unless I really need something, like clothes or shoes, and I think vacation is the one time you should be allowed to splurge! :cool1:

And, before I go torture myself on the elliptical, I wanted to share the 2 ideas I had for my PTR title! Be honest, tell me if you like either one, of if they are both lame!

1. Since it's the 40th anniversary of the Magic Kingdom opening on October 1, and I will be there on 10/1, I was thinking something like "Happy Anniversary MK, let's have a drink! October 2011 PTR!"

2. I love Nightmare before Christmas, and since we are most likely going to 2 MNSSHP's while we are there, I was thinking, simply "This is Halloween, This is Halloween...October 2011 PTR". :confused3 Not sure if it makes sense, considering I'm going the first week of October, and Halloween is the last week.

I don't love either of them, but I suppose I could deal with one or the other for the next 6 months! Let me know which one you like better, if any...or if you have any better suggestions! Maybe I will think of something better by the end of the week when I get around to starting, but for now, this is all I can come up with!

Up next...Final Thoughts! :(

I'm finally posting on your TR! Better late than never, right?

Well, I have to say I love your souvies and I am the same way about hardly ever spending money on myself so I also feel like it's okay to splurge a little on vaca. :thumbsup2

I actually really like your Dooney bag but I also have the other two that you are interested in (My only 2!) and I love them both. I really like both of your PTR titles so I don't think you can go wrong with either.
