It's tempting to mess with the living and leave stuff to be found that would scare them, shock them, or piss them off!

My grandfather used to do something along those lines. He worked for a parks department when I was a kid and had to leave so early in the morning, so he made sure he had as little to fuss with as possible for breakfast in the morning. Instant coffee and sugar was already in the mug, bread in the toaster.

I think he would have had it next to the bed, but my grandmother would have had a fit.

I cook eggs and sausage or bacon to use on English muffins for a breakfast sandwich. I pull the English muffin out of the freezer the night before and put it in the toaster oven so after I get out of the shower and I'm packing up to leave, I throw the timer on the toaster oven and it's toasted and ready to go as I'm walking out the door.

Then at work in my office, I can toss the precooked egg and sausage in the microwave and my muffin is already toasted and ready to go since I don't want to put them in a community toaster in the breakroom.

Ha ha! That was the first thing I thought of, and was going to advise not to try it with bacon!
