Hi everyone! Happy Saturday! :wave2: I'm sorry I haven't been very active on the boards lately! It has been a very hectic week for me. We left Thursday for our sophomore class field trip and didn't get home until yesterday evening. We got to take the kids to a few different local universities for tours and we stayed overnight at a camp. The kids had a blast and so did the teachers, but it was exhausting! I played paintball with my students. (This is the part where you're probably thinking, "She played paintball? Well then, whatever pain she describes next is completely deserved." :rotfl:) Let me just tell those of you who have never played paintball before...DON'T. I bruise like a peach anyway, and those paintballs left me looking like I fell down a flight of stairs. Not to mention one of my super tall students accidently ran into me (I'm what you might call vertically challenged, so they tend to overlook me sometimes) and gave me a black eye. :smooth:

Moral of this story: If I go on any trip other than Disney, I'm probably going to come home injured.

Anyway, let's get back to the business at hand! It's time for Round 15 of The Waiting Game! I trust you all remember the rules, but just in case: please only guess once, and don't edit your answer after it's posted! The first person to guess correctly wins a point!

Please name the ride or attraction with this Fast Pass sign:

Good luck everyone! Tomorrow it will officially be 10 weeks until I go to Disney, so I want to copy Jen (Nermel9) and do a Top 10 Countdown! :woohoo:

I PROMISE I will catch up on everyone's TRs and PTRs tonight! If I don't keep that promise then I will let one of you blacken my other eye! ;)

I can't believe you played paintball with them! Haha, I would too if it were a class trip, and I'm sure I'd get highly competitive. But then I'd get hurt badly, and not even from the paintballs. It'd be an injury similar to yours too - running into a student! Be proud of your black eye though, haha. Only the fun teachers get injured because only the fun teachers play and participate!

Last year during Field Day, we were playing a version of football (not as difficult, and obviously no tackling). I didn't want to play, but my students "forced" me too. It was my 6th grade homeroom against my friend's 5th grade class. One of the kids in her class (haha, who's now in mine!) is "vertically challenged," and we ran right into each other! His head was where my neck is, so we were oddly injured! We slammed into each other and both ended up on the ground! Lovely.

And this is also after falling down and having to go to the ER due to a younger kid skating right in front of me!

We have our Harvest Festival trip coming up where we now go bowling instead of skating (others have gotten hurt too, broken wrists and the like). One 6th grader asked, "Miss Ninja, are you going to be okay?" and I said, "Um, yeah, why?" He said, "Because you always get hurt on field trips." :rotfl:

All of my guesses were taken so I don't have an answer lol.

Anyone elses User CP not working?? Mine has been saying all day that the boards will down for 2 hours for an upgrade. I just started searching on the trip report threads as I can't see mine!

Hi everyone! It looks like we have a winner for Round 15! The correct answer for this round was Peter Pan's Flight! Great job, RachelNinja! :thumbsup2 Thanks for playing along, everyone else!

It looks like RachelNinja has taken a strong lead, but there's still 10 more weeks for someone else to catch up! It's still anyone's game!

Here's the updated scoreboard:
Scoresheet
DisneyFirefly- 1
Nermel9- 3
ChildAtHeart82- 3
RachelNinja- 6
HeatherBelle614- 1
shelbys mommy- 1

I really wanted to do an update today with the 10 things I am most excited about doing at WDW in December, but it looks like it's going to have to wait until tomorrow. :sad1: I had a ton of stuff to catch up on for work tonight and I'm trying to get stuff together for our upcoming Halloween events. It's looking like I'm going to be Sookie Stackhouse from True Blood! :rotfl: My outfit will be complete with the Merlotte's t-shirt and apron combo, a high pony tail, some bite marks on my neck, and I will even have a space between my front teeth. I'm pretty excited about it!

Anyway, I will be back ASAP to post my list. I can't believe I'm down to 10 weeks! :hyper:

See ya soon!

Hmmm this is tough...Mickey's Philharmagic?

That's a great guess! :thumbsup2

Um, Peter Pan?

You got it! :cheer2:

:rotfl: You and I sound like we have a lot in common when it comes to field trip injuries! You're right though, we only get hurt because we are fun enough to participate! Although, it did take a ton of persuasion from my kids to get me to play paintball!

I'm pretty proud of my "battle scars" from the field trip. My black eye is a lovely shade of yellow and green now, so it should look really nice tomorrow. I think it makes me look tough!

My guess will be Snow White's Scary Adventure in Fantasyland in the MK.

That's a great guess! :)

That's Peter pan.

Yep! :)

Good guess!

All of my guesses were taken so I don't have an answer lol.

Anyone elses User CP not working?? Mine has been saying all day that the boards will down for 2 hours for an upgrade. I just started searching on the trip report threads as I can't see mine!

That happens to me a lot! It drives me nuts!

Oh crap, I will say Dumbo but I know I am wrong!

Good guess, though! :)

OMG that's so cool that you're going to be Sookie for Halloween! I wanted to be her when the first season came out, but I thought it would look weird because well, I'm not skinny! :rotfl: If I had to dress up this year, I would definitely be Snooki from Jersey Shore! :rotfl2:

You know, I knew that was Peter Pan, but for some reason I went against my instinct and picked something stupid, I don't even think Philharmagic has FP's! :confused3 Oh well, next week! :)

I'm sure you would have made a great Sookie! I just like saying her name in the Bill voice..."Sooookaaay"! I would love to see some pictures of you as Snooki! That would be great!

Don't worry, there's still plenty of weeks left! :)

Yay! I can't believe I'm actually doing a trip related update! And on a Monday, too! :hyper: I literally never have the time to update during the week, so I'm pretty excited about this! I had a rough day at work today and I'm really struggling to get through these long weeks until I get to see DH again, so I think a little bit of Disney is just what the doctor ordered!

I stole this idea from Jen (Nermel9)! In honor of my trip being only 10 weeks away (:bitelip:) I have decided to post a list of the top 10 things I am the most excited about for our December/January trip! Are you ready? Let's go!

Note: Most of these are not my pictures. I found them on Google images.

:dance3: Top 10 List of Exciting Experiences :dance3:

10. Shopping!

ptr1.jpg

This might seem like a silly one, but I am one of those people who consider shopping a craft which I have developed to near perfection. DH says I "shop with purpose"- meaning I treat shopping like a job that I take very seriously. And since WDW is pretty much the best place to shop EVER, this was a must for my list. Also, it will be really nice this trip to be able to spend some money on souvenirs and not have to feel guilty, since this is the first time DH and I have both had decent paying jobs. Usually I agonize over every little thing I buy at Disney since it is so expensive, so I'm looking forward to being able to be a little more carefree this trip!

9. Visiting different resorts!

ptr2-1.jpg

My trips to Disney have been magical in the past, but I have seen only a handful of the gorgeous resorts that it has to offer. I am really looking forward to visiting some of the resorts I have never seen before but heard so much about. We will be going to the Polynesian, Wilderness Lodge, AKL, and the Grand Floridian (FULL HOUSE PICS, GUYS. :faint:) We haven't had the opportunity to stay in a deluxe resort before, but I know we will love touring them and seeing what they have to offer!

8. Staying at POP!

ptr3-1.jpg

I have heard so many great things about POP but I've never had a chance to stay here. DH and I are both really excited about it because it looks really fun and whimsical. Plus, we can't wait to try the tie dye cheesecake!

7. Doing the Deluxe Dining Plan!

ptr4-1.jpg

You don't have to know me very well to know that I am a huge fan of stuffing food in my face. Therefore, the DxDP is REALLY exciting. DH and I can't wait to have the opportunity to eat so many delicious meals on our trip! If I am still able to zip my jeans up when I come home I am going to be seriously disappointed in myself.

6. Trying new restaurants and experiences I've missed!

ptr5-1.jpg

Since we are doing the DxDP, DH and I are going to have the opportunity to try a ton of restaurants we have never eaten at before! We always love new experiences, so this will be great. We are looking forward to trying other new things that we have missed before as well, like trying the Beverly and doing Pick A Pearl. (Okay, okay, DH doesn't really care about that part.) We have a tendency to get into a habit of doing the same thing when we travel, so it will be nice to step outside of our comfort zone and try something new!

5. Doing all of our favorite things!

ptr11-1.jpg

Now don't get me wrong, trying new stuff is great, but there's something to be said for those tried and true favorites that you just can't get enough of. Such as...riding ToT until we want to puke, DH making fun of my face on Dinosaur, and drinking those poetry-inspiring Grand Marnier orange slushies. :worship: We are really looking forward to all of the special things that has made WDW our favorite vacation destination!

4. Our "special events"!

ptr6-1.jpg

DH and I really haven't experienced much at WDW outside of visiting the parks and eating at the restaurants. Therefore, I am really excited about the special events I have planned for our trip. The Wishes Dessert Party should be awesome, and I expect our sleigh ride through Fort Wilderness to be the most romantic night of our trip! :lovestruc

3. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter!

ptr8.jpg

Alright DISers, you'll have to forgive me for this one. I know it doesn't really count because it's not Disney, but I just can't help myself! I am a total Harry Potter nerd and I am so excited about going to the WWoHP! Now don't get me wrong, I don't expect it to be half as wonderful as Disney, but I'm really looking forward to seeing my favorite books come to life right before my eyes! Plus, I'm dying to try butterbeer!

2. Seeing Christmas- Disney style!

ptr9-2.jpg

We've seen Disney during Halloween, but never during Christmas! Christmas is my favorite holiday hands down, so I expect the decorations are going to completely blow me away. I can't wait to see the lights on the castle!

And finally...drumroll please...

1. Spending time with John!

ptr10-1.jpg

I hardly ever get to see my wonderful husband, so the knowledge that I will have him all to myself for an entire week at the most magical place on earth is pretty much the most exciting part of this trip. John is the most amazing man I have ever met and I have the time of my life with him everytime we are together. I know that this will be yet another perfect vacation together that we will remember forever. I can't wait!

I LOVE your list! :lovestruc You really put so much thought into it! I hope you have a magical vacation with John, you really deserve it!

I don't know how I left shopping off any of my lists! I'm not a big shopper, I just don't ever really spend money on myself, but when I'm at Disney, I like to go a little crazy! Especially with ornaments!

I love visiting different resorts! I'm hoping to explore more of the Poly this year (last year when we went to Kona we just went to the restaurant area and I didn't see much of anything else there) and I can't WAIT to see AKL in person!

And the Christmas decorations are unbelievable! You are going to die when you see Cinderella's castle with those lights...even Brandon was speechless last year when he saw the castle, and he can take the castle or leave it!

I love your list! :yay: #1 is the best, of course :) I kind of wish I had someone special to spend this trip with, but spending it with my Dis friends (and alone) will have to do :lmao: Better to be at Disney alone than not at all, right? :teeth:

I love your list. I think I may have to steal this idea also.

I love shopping, but hate paying full price for anything. :rotfl:

That's my dream trip to be able to visit DW at Christmas time. The castle is so beautiful in the pictures I've seen, it must be amazing to see in person.
