Just got back from our four night halloween cruise on the dream out of port Canaveral. I was totally informed about the updates to the alcohol policy and was ready to play along. We bought a six pack of beer and a bottle of Milagros silver tequila. We are returning to WDW after the cruise and were going to drink the tequila after our cruise; so I was prepared to “check in” my alcohol.
We arrived at port Canaveral with my duffle holding a few items, the beer, and the tequila. They didn’t stop us at the security scan! We quickly grabbed our stuff and ran up the stairs (we didn’t really run, but quickly left).
We figured that since the bottle was a 750 mL and shaped like a wine bottle it slipped through. So just a friendly tip for anyone wanting a bottle onboard; bring one shaped like a wine bottle. I still saw ppl picking up their bottles of alcohol at the disembarkment time.
