This is how DH wants his shirt and the boys shirts setup. The first pic is what the front would look like (just printed on reg paper) and the last 3 are the images he wants for the backs of the shirts. It's just not *speaking* to me but DH is adamant he wants them like this.

I like the front. The only thing that's bothering me is the Disney font. I thought the I was a J and it took me a minute to figure out what was going on. I'd suggest using the Disney Print Font found on this site or try it with lowercase letters. All upper case can be difficult to read.

Another thought might be adding "Star" in the SW font at the top and "Wars" at the bottom. I also like the Anankin for the back.

Not to be critical, but I too think the font on the front of the shirts is lacking. Not sure I wouldn't try to use Star Wars font in the Mouse Heads. I found a website with a bunch of cool Movie fonts in it (Star Wars being one of them).

I like it much better than before. The Star Wars also adds a lot. I think the font stands out much better and you can read it better than before. Cool designs. I'm sure they'll get noticed.

It's not bad- I mean other than someone needing to really look at it to distinguish that it is their names... Would he be open to having the names read Vertical? Maybe just so it is easier to see that it is their names... Unless, of course, he is not trying to let their names be "seen" as easily- I really like the whole concept- It is pretty cool & the pics for the backs are awesome! Where did you find those?!-
Let the guys have their way- It's really not bad- Plus, is he wearing any other shirts that you designed? Let those be the way you really like them & let them feel that this one was done totally from their creative minds!

Looks fun!!! For the first one with the 3 names, it is hard to figure out what the shirt says. I had to look at it a few times before I figured it out. A suggestion is to have the names go vertical instead of horizontal (like pp said). Maybe have Jack first, then Logan in middle row, then Rick. Then you can have 4 boxes in first and third vertical row, 5 boxes in middle row (take out the 2 seperator ears). Just thought.

Yeah that's his point for it to be more of a word search setup than just the names in a row. DH just got home and he's thrilled with it so I guess that's all that really matters in the end.

As for the backgrounds they are wallpaper I found here and cropped/edited a bit. I have limited capabilities since I only have paint shop pro and I don't know how to really use it! LOL

I like it MUCH better with the SW font but I would not use the "L" with the tail on the upper part. It was hard to figure out that it was an L and not a Z. With a design that has the letters separated like this you need to make the letters as easy to identify as possible. The vertical does make it clearer that they are names. Also see what it looks like with the "Star" and "Wars" the width of the 3 squares and with out the square around it.

Just adding my 2 cents here

I like the names much better vertical. I had no idea when I first looked at the first design that it was names! I thought perhaps initials??? And I agree with everyone else, the easier to read each letter the better.

Thanks for the input! I fixed the L and fiddled with the width/height of the Star Wars so it matches the other squares.

I really can't decide which appeals to me more. DH is pretty insistent on his own shirt how he wants it but the boys shirts are up to me to change if I want to. My real hesitation with the vertical names is the 3 repeating colors/characters across each line, it bothers me for some reason.

The repetition of colors and characters is probably what's bothering you. Try mixing them up a bit.

ok here's another try that I do like better than any of the other setups. The bottom name is HOGA (as in Hogan), which is what we call Logan on a day to day basis. It fits with the 4 letter names which makes me happy and fits with the other names since those are also nicknames. And yes I'm trying to justify changing it from Logan!

Each of them has one of Dom's star wars names I can put at the top. The colors are washed out since I printed on fast draft. They are nice and vibrant on the actual disign.

So opinions on this one? If you hate, let me know, I can take it I promise!

(and these are just drafts and not all perfectly lined up as they would be on the actual transfer)

I think there is enough space to do it that way on the 6/8 shirt (and of course on the adult shirt). I like how you've laid it out. Definitely not enough on the toddler one though. DH and I were LOL'ing over the layout on Logan's shirt. It looked like the design was engulfing him! It went neck to hem on his shirt!

Let me go play with the letters and see what it looks like with the figures. I think moving the figures around and leaving the letters in the right positions would help a lot. Although that means another couple hours working that out. They had better keep these shirts FOREVER!

Does this mean Dom's disign isn't working with this shirt?

Lisa, here it is with it shuffled around on the child shirt

it's pretty tight. I need to re-work which character goes to the letter in the names and put the star wars in full black not gray.

Is there a way to get all the squares into a single 8x10 space using photoshop? I can't figure it out in paint shop but once the letters are in final position I think it needs to be all squished into one so that it will fit on the little shirts.

With the littlest one's shirt you may have to make everything smaller. I know when I make my DDs shirts they are half the size of mine and DH's. One time I did an entire page for the little and it just looked enormous on her!

I don't know which program you are using. I am using PSE. I can make it smaller with mine. I could do many things but one would be to adjust the size of the image to like a 5x7 ish size instead of 8x10.

I don't explain things really well I believe I find the MOST difficult way to do things and then proceed to do it that way forever

The DISign will read better bigger, but I think if it were smaller it would be more symetric.

I think I find the most difficult way as well since it seems to be *faster* than learning the right way at that one moment! LOL So I finally got everything all smushed up and changed up and of course got to adding in all the squares and realize I messed up the order of Jack's name. But I'm leaving it as is for now!

For the Star Wars words I'm going to thin them down and change them to black.

I think I'm going to give Dom's disigns the stardom they deserve on their own shirts.

I like it. It even looks fine with the 2 special starwars emblems being on the ends. I think black with the Star Wars will be better too.

And the idea of Dom's DISign being on it's own will be great! That was faboo!
