A) Star Wars isn't for dorks -- it's for Geeks.

B) The Han and Leia/Luke Mara thing takes place in the large quantity of books that have been written that take place after Return of the Jedi. (there are books that take place during and before the movies too -- pretty much the whole time-line is covered).

C) Yeah yeah, I've heard all the religious parallels -and most of them are true - but Star Wars is kinda an amalgem of many of those things and more. "The Magic of Myth" covers most of it.

D) If you haven't seen Star Wars then your missing out on a big part of your pop culture -- more than you may realize.

E) If you people are gonna talk sports - I'm gonna talk Star Wars.

OT - sorry, I missed your question. Allow me to clarify a few things.

When C3-PO says "thank the maker" his is refering to his maker, Anakin. But, 3-PO will soon be suffering a memory wipe that will erase all his previous memories - so in EpIV-VI he doesn't know who he's refering to when he says "Thank the Maker."

As for Yoda - as you can see after his fight with Dooku, he's rather pooped - 800 years will take some steam out of ya. But he can summin it up when he needs to. After that, I'm guessing the utter decimation of the Jedi Order by a former student also demoralizes him and the years on Dagobah take their toll.

As for that Jar Jar statue - I've got the ashen ramains of one in my back yard.

Am I the only one who thought that Episodes 1 and 2 are lacking that 'Han Solo' humour (not humor)?

That's what I loved the most from 4, 5 and 6.

"Uhhhhh.....had a slight weapons malfunction. But.....fine..... everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here...now...thank you. How are you?"

Hey M- I agree. No Han Solo is one of the reasons I couldn't get into the other episodes.

I couldn't picture Star Wars without Harrison Ford.
