Looks like my Beloved Texans need a bit more polishing. There definitely wasn't a "stomping into the ground" performance from my men - but it was still a good scrimmage and they did come back to put some numbers on the board. Let's see what they do against the Broncos this weekend. BTW - David Carr got HUGE during the off-season -- his muscles have muscles now!

I love those words.... fantasy football!!!

Does anyone on the board have a yahoo fantasy league set up? I'm in 4 now as it is :teeth:

But I wonder if we can get enough people interested on the board to set up a dis-league? I can set one up on Yahoo if anyone's interested.....

Adri - sure - I mean I don't know anything about football, but I didn't know a thing about Survivor either...yet somehow I got peer-pressured into that fantasy league...

At least this one - I will volunteer to enter...

Fantasy Football, I tried one season but I remember getting very frustrated and saying never again. I can't remember why though.

I think I have more fun with the Survivor Fantasy League. :teeth:

I don't care for fantasy football leagues - too much work. I like to focus solely on the games. But I'll be up for the next Survivor fantasy league! That was fun!

While the rest of you are fighting for 2nd place, SappSacksMcNabb will be in first place looking down and scoffing at you common folk. ;)

Oh...Fantasy Football...Looks like I came back from vacation just in time...I'm in...now that football's back...I can start to get less frustrated about the damn Red Sox...:) (But I am going to sit on the Green Monster on 9/24...got some tickets from a freind of my mom...so I am psyched for that...hopefully they'll still be in it :))

Anyway...after just spending 5 days camping in Canada...I have a couple of observations...

1) How do you Canadians keep your gas tanks filled????? We went to one gas station and it cost us $50 Canadian to fill up...what is up with that?????

2) I now see what all the fuss about Coffee Crisps is about...I specifically went looking for one after all the talk on this board...very good!

3) What is the deal with the potato chips up there? OK...you have plain, sour cream and onion and stuff like that...all is well...but then you get wacky (and yes, we tried all these flavoUrs (spell it the Canadian way :))...pizza? ketchup?????? (actually not bad...though a little sweet), dill pickle ???????????, fries and gravy???????? (a little redundant if you ask me)...and then the grandaddy of them all...the one that blew our minds...because we couldn't figure out why this would be necessary...ROAST CHICKEN POTATO CHIPS??????????????????? I mean, they do taste like chicken :)...but in the name of God, why????

Anyway...that's it...I'm home for a day-and-a-half and then I'm off to Wisconsin, so I'm sure I'll have observations about the Midwest when I get home...have a good one everyone :)

{Insert Canadian currency joke here} :smooth:

Yeah...I know....but still....

And I still have some Canadian money left over...don't know what to do with it...:)

Well, as weak as the Canadian dollar is right now, you may as well wallpaper your bathroom with it. :teeth:

'Cuse me? Weak??? Would you care to discuss the economic's behind how strong the Canadian dollar is to your 'sinking' US one right now???

Thanks Lizzie - I had the worse case of 'hat head' from wearing that cowboy hat for soooo long, that I had to 'change it up'. ;)

Hmmm - maybe Higgs lives in the Twilight Zone. At my grocery stores, we have Dill Pickle-flavored chips (a personal favorite), pizza-flavored chips (Pringles is a popular brand), ketchup-and-mustard-flavored chips... and then there are the chips at the Japanese grocery store that I frequent - shrimp-flavored (don't knock it 'till ya try it), wasabi-flavored, and vegetable ships (also available at Whole Foods Market). My all-time favorite flavor, which I cannot have because the chips will surely send me into cardiac trauma - Salt and Vinegar. I hear that's especially popular with New Englanders, right?

I thought Higgs lived in Maine. ;)

And you own grocery stores? Wow. I'm truly impressed.
