WDWTrekker 11/23/01 Day 7
Well I got up on time today; I cannot say the same for the rest of the clan. They are getting lazy on me. So I drove over to McDonalds and brought in breakfast.
When we got to Sea World (about 45 min. after opening) there was a huge line to buy tickets, this must have taken 45 min. Once we were in the park everything went pretty good. I have only one real complaint, trying to get food or drinks were impossible. They had one person working in the stands and not all stands were open. I talked to people who spent 50 min in line to just buy food. I tried several times to get a soda & the lines were impossible.
The first show we saw was Pets Ahoy; this is a very good show with mainly Cats and Dogs performing tricks. This is new since the last time we were here and it is IMHO a recommended must see.
We stopped by the Stingray Lagoon and the kids got food for them. Then we made our way to the Dolphin Stadium. One tip, they sell souvenir cups for $4.25 and refills at Sea World and Busch Gardens are $1.37 including tax. These hold about 1 ½ as much as the cup you get for $2.10 plus tax and it can be used on return trips.
The Dolphin show is a lot of fun; I think DS wants to now be a trainer for a day. Our next adventure was Journey to Atlantis, Just one comment very wet! But very fun. Then we headed for Kraken, this is the best roller coaster we have ever ridden.
We went and saw the Shamu show, what amazing creatures. The next show we saw was some weird circus thing. There was a comedian and 3 acts that involved balance and such stuff. It was ok, but DW and I cannot figure out why it is at Sea World? It has nothing to do with animals, which is what I thought Sea World was about?
We did Terrors of the Deep and went to the Dolphin petting area. Finished off the day with the evening Shamu show and 1 last ride on Kraken.
We stopped at Perkins on the way back to the resort for dinner. Everyone convinced me that we needed to sleep in tomorrow, like I said they are all getting lazy. So I guess that is what we will do and the do Epcot in the afternoon and evening. We have a PS at Le Cellier for dinner Sat. Evening.
See you on Day 8
