@WDWTODAY is supposed to make an announcement at 2pm today....any ideas?

I saw their tweet yesterday and really didn't really think it would be any type of announcement and knew it would just be something lame, but I really had to laugh when I saw that it was a button of all things. Just a couple of weeks ago, I posted this on another thread:

Last November, the WDW Today team (official Twitter folks for WDW) tweeted where they were in the park and come and say 'hi'. I was right around the corner, so I walked over, and not until I mentioned that I saw their tweet did they act all excited and say, "We have some goodies for you!" The "goodies" were two generic "I'm Celebrating" buttons with @WDWToday written on it.

They sure like their buttons! :rotfl:Hey, at least they're "fancy" looking now...mine had the words written in a sharpie.

I got a pair of $20 60th Anniversary ears from the AWESOME DisneylandToday team when I was at Disneyland earlier this month.

Of course, no hype or announcement - just saw a sign that said "Disneyland Today" - and I walked up and said I follow them on Twitter and they revealed his huge stack of ears they were handing out. It was awesome.

Maybe the DL Twitter team can help out the WDW Twitter team.

Does this involve the wdwtoday podcast? Or did Disney decide to launch their own thing and pretend the podcast doesn't exist?

No this is not the podcast this is the WDW twitter account that deals with guest issues. Disneyland has had one called DLToday for years now and WDW finally launched their own version last year.

The email also said there is 20% off food and non-alcoholic beverages at 45 restaraunts including quick-services. I can't quite understand if that just applied to passholders or everyone through Sept of 2017. Also, is the above-mentioned passholder benefit (merchandise and TS discounts) until Sept of 2017 or until you AP expires? I further read this as applying to all existing/already purchased APs and new ones -- right?

Works for existing. And the benefit is for ap holders. Dvc members get a similar 20% off merchandise but no dining benefit.

My ap expires tomorrow so we will see how the 13 month ap renewal benefit goes.
