Ok I check into Vista Way in 80 days and counting. Anyone else care to share there news, excitement, fears, nervousness, anxiousness etc. ? Let us all know. I am in Merchandising and I check in on August 25th!

Remember that the roomates that you have are the girls around you in line, depending on if you choose a four person or six person. If you haven't choosen yet I would recommend the four person ones.

It was a blast... if you have any specific questions feel free to ask. It's like starting any new adventure, nerve racking but once you settle in it's a blast....

Another Aug 25 arrival date here (but you already knew that )

I'm in Operations. Driving down (but a few weeks earlier ... long story). I'd like a 4 person apt, I think ... more than that is just TOO many

Really? I was there June-August 1999!

Y'all are going to have so much fun! Don't pack too much - there's not a ton of room in the apartments. Besides, you need room in the car for all the stuff you're going to be taking back at the end. (Has anyone told you about Property Control yet?)

Yes I have been told about Property Control, WAY COOL! But if someone doesn't mind explaining it again I am sure here are others out there that don't know.

Property Control is an evil, evil place, where you hand over your paycheck. It's actually a big tent and a trailer (at least when I was there) that all the damaged merchandise is sent and CMs are allowed to buy it at very discounted prices. I got Disney Beanie Babies with a bit of makeup on it - washed right off - a pj top that was missing its bottom, a Blizzard Beach keychain logo that had detached from the keychain part - made a lovely magnet. Etc, etc, etc.

You'll learn to memorize the schedule for when the good stuff arrives - Monday was MK, Wednesday was the Marketplace when I was there.

Oh, and they also sell stuff from the parks there. Strollers that were left for 30 days (or whatever the deadline is), the Disney garbage cans, etc, etc. The trash cans go FAST, so you need to keep an eye out for those!

cool. Yeah the trash cans and things like that really really interest me, I have a lot of house hold items that are mickey mouse/ disney.
