WDW without parks

I seem to always want to see Cindy's castle (it makes us feel like we are "there", but a trip withour parks sounds like a relaxing vacation.

We've been going for nearly 30 years and I don't think ever skipped the parks. Maybe it's the thousand mile trip to get there. We are looking forward to relaxing at the VWL pool and riding bikes to For Wilderness for a day.c

We travel from PA so the distance is comparable, but since we have been going to WDW twice a year since we purchased DVC in 2000, we decided we needed a relaxing vacation without parks. We had originally planned this as a golf trip, but since we didn't get to play very much this summer decided that was a bad idea, so we just did the non-park and it was wonderful!

Instead of parks we resort hopped and checked out several of the other non-DVC resorts that we had never seen before. We went to a couple movies and just chilled out most of the time.

We've been to parks in the past and left when crowds were big and lines were long, choosing to go to another park or just back to resort to relax. We haven't done commando for a few years (althought it took some work on my part to get DH to finally slow down, but now he has the attitude "there's always next trip", which is a wonderful way to think.

Hopefully someday you will feel that way also, but if not, that's ok too. :goodvibes
