WDW without a Smart Phone

We changed our FP+ several times using the kiosks. My advice is just to know where they are located. I went into one near the Hall of Presidents and there wasn't a line and made a few changes. I then had second thoughts and as I passed by the ones in the cut through between the Riverboat and Jungle Cruise, the line was really long. It wasn't worth it to stand in line, so I walked back a minute or two to the Hall of Presidents kiosks.

We mainly used the WiFi to check wait times.

I use an iPod touch as well. I haven't really had any issues with the wifi, but I do tend to travel during less busy times for the most part. Actually, I've enjoyed being able to keep an eye on the weather more than I've used it for MDE.

Never had one. Don't want one. DH has a notebook that we usually take along and check mail in the morning before heading out or in the evening when we get back to the room. I WILL NOT be a prisoner of technology. We carry a cell phone in case of emergencies, but we don't call people to chat !!
Anyone who wishes to do that, fine, but we aren't going to start now. Won't be using FP+ and won't be making advance dining plans, etc.
We've done Disney for a lifetime without all that. It's fine for young folks and those who desire to be connected all the time. That wouldn't be me.
I worked in offices, banks and pharmacies where the phones never stopped ringing. And I had jobs that required me to answer and handle the calls. I'll vacation without being connected. Just my choice !!!
Of course you can do the parks without a smart phone.
