WDW Without a credit card

Either AAA or just any travel agent can make your flight and WDW reservations for you and you can pay them in cash without security problems.

I have a debit card linked to my chequing account - and I'm in Canada (using a Canadian bank).

So do I. But in the states their debit cards have Visa or Mastercard logos and work similar to a credit card. That is what we don't have here. They are linked to are bank accounts and we call them debit cards.. but they are ATM/Interac purchase only with no credit card company symbol.


ETA) OP.. like the previous poster said, go through CAA or a travel agent and they can make the arrangements for you and you can pay in cash. All your payments can be mailed to Disney if you decide to go that route.
And as far as the cash flight situation, be prepared to answer some questions and of course have your passports and proper I.D. but it should be fine.

No, I know the difference between an ATM card and a debit card (in the sense that was used in this thread) and I have a debit card. My DEBIT card is a Visa debit card - if I use it, it processed like a Visa, but the money comes out of my chequing account.

So, we DO have them here. More useful when traveling in the US (or buying from American sites, since not many retailers accept them here (to be used a debit card, rather than an ATM card - my card can actually be used as either).

pigletto beat me to it, but I will 2nd the travel agent. Doesn't have to be CAA - can be anyone you're comfy with, and if you do the research ahead of time, you know you'll get what you want. The travel agent won't charge you any extra on top of what it would cost booking directly, and you can pay them in cash or use your chequing debit card there, for the flight, hotel, tickets, etc. Much much simpler - and you then have protection from travel agent association if something goes wrong, like your airline goes out of business before you fly home (and yes it has happened a couple of times in the last few years!) Going without that protection could mean you're up the creek if you run into a problem.

And no, I'm not a travel agent - just had two friends get caught two separate times with the airline thing!

That's really interesting! I have never seen one anywhere here. I wonder if it's newer or only in some places? I did have a cashier once say she heard our banks we're going to start using them, but I have yet to see one.
I wonder if all banks will use them eventually?
