I've been to WDW every year for the past 10 years and this year is the first year I'm not going. As I'm having two holidays over the summer period I thought I would be ok but I'm seriously missing my Easter WDW trip! :sad2:

At the age of 21 you'd have thought I'd be bored of it all by now but I always find something new whenever I go back. Last year The Mummy ride at Universal wasn't properly open yet and I was gagging for a chance to go on it. I'm going to have to wait another year before I can try it out! Also the Alien Encounter was there last time I went - what's the new Lilo and Stitch version like? I'm missing all my favourite rides (Splash Mountain, Tower of Terror, Rock 'n' Rollercoaster, Dinosaur... actually I'm missing all the rides! ). To top it off the weather in the UK is rubbish - I need some of the Florida sun! :sunny:

So I guess I'm gonna have to live my dreams through you guys - what have you guys found different at WDW this year? And the rest of the parks? Tell me all the news! :teeth:

I've only got 12 months left to go

I know what you mean,we have just got back and are having serious withdrawals.

12 months will fly by,i'm still trying to talk DH into booking for next year. :teeth:

Revenge of the mummy was fab-rode it once then got a fastpass for later on,glad we did as they ran out of fastpasses for it by lunch time and the que for it was about an hour long.

The new ride at busch gardens looks very scary, the first drop on it is huge.

everest at ak is massive and you can see it for miles.Looks like its going to be fun.

I now need to go back next year so ride these.

Thanks for the tip! Will definately FP the Mummy for as many rides as poss!

Yeah I saw the tracks being built for Everest last year but they hadn't constructed much of the mountain yet. You reckon they'll have finished by Easter next year? I want to be chased by a big scary hairy thing that isn't from the local pub! :rotfl:

What was the weather like over there? This is kind of like a therapy session...

I'm not too sure what time of next year everest is due to open, hope someone else can fill us in on that one.

First week was hot, hot, hot, second week it cooled down quite alot and we had a fair bit of rain.I think its still quite cool now.

When are you going next year?

We went feb last year as well,if we go back(i think we will be missing next year due to the cost) i was thinking about going a little bit later, maybe early march?
We didn't time it very well this year and hit presidents day/week as the whole of that week was packed.least it made me realise i couldn't go during the summer months. On the plus side the second week was very quite,we walk on everything with no que at all at busch gardens.Great as we rode everything 3 or 4 times in a row.

I'm probably going late march next year. My sis and I are both at University so we're gonna take the last week off of the Easter term (naughty I know but then it means we beat the Easter hols crowds! Besides no one works in the last week of term...). The second week of the holiday we always spend on the Gulf coast (St Pete's Beach) and we'll probably go to Busch Gardens in that week.

Last year we went early march and we were wearing jumpers at Epcot it was that cool. I didn't mind though. A few days later it was baking again.

Easter is definately the best time to go if you can miss the school holiday crowds. The temperature is just right (in the summer it is too humid according to my mate who went that time last year. It totally knocked her out!) and even if you do get the odd cool day you know it's no where near as bad as it is at home!

there are some great trip reports on the UK trip board at the moment to read
this keeps the magic going for a little while
Plus there is always next years trip to plan

But i know how you feel
WDW is the only holiday i ever want to go on No where else will do

Same here!
This year I will be giving birth to our 2nd child, so WDW is out of the question, and we are all seriously missing not going, even so,we've been watching all our vid's and looking at pics, the only way we can console ourselves is to book for next summer, we have priced up,and are thinking of going when beanie is nearly 1,so thats around July.
And we are then thinking of booking a holiday for the end of this year LOL :rotfl: Anything to console our withdrawel symptoms!!! :rolleyes1

We came back from WDW in December after 2 weeks off site. As we went with our friends who had never been I really felt that I had missed out on Disney as we were having to meet back up and baby swap etc... and this was my third visit!

I tried talking my husband into going again and tried to tell him that it was for the benefit of our 2 year old but he wasn't having any of it so I was starting with serious withdrawal symptoms. I even resorted to getting our son to walk around saying Mickey Mouse.

Eventually I won him over and we are going back in October - yippee!!! Only for 4 days though as I have sold it to him with 10 days in Marco Island so that we can chill out. But we are staying on site this time at the AKL.

Thank goodness for this site so that we can live the Disney Magic every day even though we are hundreds of miles away!

Oh!! I know. This will be the first time in a few years that we've not been.AHHHHHHHH!!!! The new house has meant that we can't afford it at the moment. But we WILL be back one day!!! Still working on DH to get me to DLP in May or summer to give me a little taste!!!

ps. I love my new house, it is worth it!!!

I have just seen a lovely house too - Murphy's Law after the holiday is booked.

No doubt my hubby will tell me that we can't afford it as we have just booked our holiday - grrrhhhhhhh.
A friend of mine lives in Mansfield. Enjoy DLP is you go, at least you will get your fix of Disney.

We have just moved here from Nottingham Claire and are very happy!! I also work in Mansfield.

I will keep bugging DH, I'm very good at it!!! ;)

Aren't all women?
I think my hubby has agreed to go back to Disney for the peace and quiet. Every time the advert came on I whimpered like a wounded animal and constantly shoved the photos under his nose from our last trip.
I have already told him that our plan of attack when we arrive includes a visit to Krispy Kreme Donuts on the 192 - he an't understand why anybody gets excited over donuts - he is a boy though?

What does everybody else think about Krispy Kreme Donuts?

Oh Clare I am with you on the Krispy Kremes - yumtastic!!!!!

Soooooo yummy! I'm lucky - I live near Bluewater where they have a Krispy Kreme shop! Not as good as eating them in Florida... the sun must make them taste better :teeth:

On our last trip in October we bought into DVC which means we will be going back every year for 49 years!!!

Can't wait!

I feel your pain! We last went in May 2003. Had to miss out last year as I had a hip replacement. We are going in June (28th) and it will have been 25 months since we were last there! Still, at least I will be able to walk without being in constant pain so I suppose it was worth missing out last year. :cheer2:

Now you'll be able to run between the rides! :cool1: My sister had back problems last time we went but she kept up really well. It can't be any fun being in that much pain when you know you're going to be on your feet all day every day. Have fun on your trip and tell me everything that happens!

I've seen some pics of Expedition Everest - I can't believe how much they've done in such a short space of time! Let's just hope they've finished by Easter next year... :wizard:

Crimbo at WDW is really good. They go all out with the decorations and even though it's really warm you still feel Christmassy! We brought Christmas crackers with us to have before dinner but obviously crackers aren't an American thing. We got so many odd looks when we put the paper hats on! the couple at the table next to us asked to be move! Hehehe!

Krispy Kreme is in the same area as the cinema and TGI Fridays. It's kind of an American corner now with KK TGI and Ed's Diner all there!
