We're leaving in a few weeks for a trip with my mom, who was diagnosed last year with osteoporosis with several stress fractures. She has been on medication and is doing much better now (the stress fractures have healed). She was asking me how crazy some of the rides are and whether or not she should even attempt them (she won't ride roller coasters or anything that spins (or big drops like the TOT) regardless of the osteoporosis). Last year, she did ride the Safari several times, and just braced herself.

She was specifically asking whether Test Track and Dinosaur would be too rough to ride. I don't think that Dinosaur is a good idea for her at all, but I'm debating about Test Track. I've been on it several times, but never thinking about it from that perspective. I know you are strapped into a seat and I don't remember being bounced around too much (I know there are a few parts at the beginning that are a bit more "wicked" but is it anything worse than the safari?) Does anyone have an insight or opinions? I just don't have a clear enough memory of how wild it is to give her a good opinion.

Thanks!

i would think she would be ok, and she would be able to brace herself at certain spots at the beginning. I think Safari is much more jerky.

Dinosaur would be way too rough. You get jerked around a lot and have many sudden stops and starts.
Test Track has some different road conditions at the beginning (Belgian Blocks and different types of cobblestones) that are quite bumpy and might be painful of someone has a bad back or bumps onto the seat. Other than that, there is a sudden stop without antilock brakes (your car swerves and jerks some) and the same stop with antilock brakes (your car goes straight, but comes to a more controlled still abrupt stop). You could always ask the CM at the entrance questions about the ride and send one member of your party on ahead to see whether it would be appropriate or not.
