WDW with Foot Drop?

I fell in November '14 dislocating my knee, severing my ACL & PCL, grade 2 tear in my MCL and grade 1 tear in my LCL. When the Dr put my knee back in place she pinched my peroneal nerve causing me to have foot drop. As of right now, it is up in the air whether I will ever regain the use of my foot or not, but we've already postponed our trip once and I'm not really willing to put it off another 2 years which is how long it could take for my nerve to repair itself.

Has any FD'ers done WDW and did you use an ECV?

Since I don't know how comfortable you are with walking long distances with both your knee and your foot drop, I can't comment on whether an ECV would be necessary or not. But consider that you may be walking well in excess of 5 miles every day and also spending periods standing in lines. If you don't think you can do this without difficulty, then by all means rent an ECV.

I assume that you wear some type of brace for your foot. With the heat and humidity in Florida, excessive perspiration and chafing (even blisters) are a possibility. With my leg brace I used body glide to help minimize this.

Ugh, never even thought about the heat and my braces!
