hi all! dh and i are going to wdw the last week of january with our son who will be 7 months at the time! i am so excited! (read: nervous!)

does anyone know of a good packing/planning list for disney with an infant? ds is bf'd so bottles are not needed but other than that, what goes on the list??

thanks everyone!:flower3:

Our baby was a bit younger than yours (only 3 months old), but here's some of the things we did. We shipped down plenty of diapers and wipes. She is almost exclusively bf, but we also packed the single serve formula packets. We did take her own crib and pack n play sheets, a nightlight, and her playmat. These things were a nice touch from home for her. In our case lots of burbies and bibs were also necessary as she spits up a lot.

We will be taking her again at 10 months, and will be taking totally different items due to the difference in age. I plan on keeping a gallon size zipper bag, a swim diaper, and extra clothes with us everyday in case she plays in the water areas at the parks. We also plan to have little baggies for take and toss silverware, dirty bibs, etc. Maybe something small to throw in a diaper bag / backpack such as bubbles or little toys to keep her occupied in lines.

Here is the ultimate packing list, though it doesn't really cater to travelling with babies. It is useful though, as a reminder of little things that are easily forgotten.

thank you!!

A front baby carrier. This is good for the tons of places that baby can go that the stroller can't, like rides, lines and shows. A front carrier is so much better than a backpack carrier because you can wear them on rides and in shows rather than have to take the baby off.

Table toppers. These are fantastic for fingerfoods anywhere.

Your usual stroller with basket, reclinging seat and cup holders.

A rain cover for the stroller.

Pack-n-play sized sheets.

thanks! DS loves the bjorn! great advice!

tell me, what's a table topper?

Lots of disposable stuff! Bibs, spoons, sippy cups, changing pads!

We only packed 4-5 diapers and a small container of wipes in our park bag. We would refill on breaks.

Don't forget sunscreen and medicines.

Rain gear (even for the stroller, and YES, take your stroller).

I used the 3 chamber thingies for formula and cereal, made it super easy to transport in the day pack.

Share time between the stroller and a baby sling - DD got sick of being in the stroller after 1 day. The slings also work good for meals if baby is too small for high chairs.

The boat rides would put DD to sleep! So did the train. Don't forget about the Riverboat if you want a 20 minute break from the action.

Since you are BFing, use the baby care centers for feedings - they're air conditioned and much more private.

Go at a much slower pace than you are used to, and use baby as your guide for breaks.

My dd was a little younger when we went, but we brought her stroller, rain cover for the stroller, spoons, food, bibs, diapers, wipes, extra clothes, nail clipper, medicines, nasal aspirator, changing pad, ziplock bags for dirty clothing if she needed to be changed in the park, infant carrier, sunblock, sun hats, socks, pack n play and sheets, baby wash (trial size), baby lotion (trial size), wash cloths (hers were softer than the ones they give you in the hotels), sanitizer wipes, themometer, cotton swabs and something for her to chew on (she was teething at the time). That's all I can think of at the moment, hope this helps =)

Wow-we're taking our 3 month old next month, and I'm bringing diapers and clothes and our Ergo-that's about it. :). We'll rent a stroller. I'll bring a sun hat, his swimming suit, A couple blankets, and some baby Tylenol-can't think of much else. He's probably an easier age than your baby, though-too young to need a specific toy or lovey.

I am very green (we cloth diaper, don't use paper towels, I made her baby food, etc) but am all about disposables at Disney. :) We shipped down baby food, snacks, disposable diapers, wipes, bibs, table toppers, and Take and Toss sippy cups and infant spoons (which I kept but are so cheap it is not a big deal if you lose one by accident). I also second the plastic bag suggestions - it was great to keep a couple in the diaper bag with an extra outfit to keep it dry if it rained or to put a soiled outfit in. We took our own stroller b/c we wanted it for the airport. DD had so much fun people watching (we took her at 11 months for the first time) that we needed nothing extra to entertain her. Have fun!!!

these are great suggestions - thanks! DS has reflux pretty bad and pukes about 30-40 times a day. we go through SO many bibs a day that it sounds like i should just buy the disposable ones.

where do you buy the disposable stuff? do they have them at target or someplace like that?

oh and the ziploc bags? great suggestion! didn't even think of that!

i can't believe we'll be there in less than a month! i'm nervous about the flight but it's less than 3 hours and i figure if he screams that at least some people will be on their way to disney so they'll understand!
