Dh and I currently have our trip booked for Oct 2009. I have just recently now found out that I'm pregnant and am due in August. This would put the new baby at about 2 months at the time of our already scheduled trip. We've got no kids and really no experience with kids at this age yet.
Are we setting ourselves up for a really lousy trip? I would be so sad to have to cancel but at the same time, I don't want to be spending all sorts of time and money if it's really going to be no fun to have a small baby there. I would love some advice from those who have been there and done that before!!

I was just weaning her of the breast so I was down to morning and night feedings. If you are breast feeding it will be VERY time consuming and not all that fun for you. Now DD is on the sippy cup at 17 months and will be much easier. When I switched to bottles and we brought them to the parks it was formula and I kept bottles filled with water and the powder formula separate in a special container. That way the bottles never went bad and I never warmed DD bottles even when she was switched to milk so that was easy when we traveled. IMHO I would be more worried about you not being fully recovered and adjusted to being out in public with your baby. I hated taking DD out in public for the first month or two because their immune system isn't like ours and I wanted her to be eased into the germs
I don't think I would have been very popular at Disney with her screaming. LOL

just trying to help thats all!
