We went to Hersheypark yesterday. We can drive, it's only 50 miles, and don't have the added expense of a hotel room, but we still spent quite a bit of money.
Parking $6
Admission $87 (reg. 35.95 each, less $7 off w/coupon X 3)
Lunch @ Decades $33 (burgers)
Dinner @ Mama ilardo's $16 (pizza)
3D show @ Chocolate World $14
Souvenirs $50
plus games and drinks
That was over $200 for one day!
I expect to spend about the same for one day at any WDW or Universal theme park, with the addition of a hotel room and the cost of getting there.
Most of the theme parks are in the same price range. Six Flags Great Adventure is $48.75 per person (there is an online special that will save $16)
