Can you actually have a destination wedding at WDW at a reasonable price?
MY DB just got engaged and I so badly want him to get married in Disney. I just don't have any idea if it's in their price range or not. We do not live in Florida so everyone would have to fly there.

The minimum for an intimate wedding is $4,500.00 which is 18 guests and the bride and groom.

The minimum for a Wishes Wedding (any amount of guests) is $10,000.00. There are several websites to check out.

www.disneyweddings.com

www.magicalkingdoms.com

www.mouseweddings.com

These websites can help you out the the costs of weddings. Also, you may want to read the planning journals as many brides post how much their wedding is costing them.

I hope that helps!! :thumbsup2

Hiya Ladies,

I live in the UK and i am having a wedding at disney but at the swan and Dolphin disney hotel.;) We can not afford much but are still going to be at disney so will hopefully still have the disney magic.:cheer2:

Our wedding is costing $5542 :bride:

This includes ~
location plus plus bar attendant
officiant
wedding arch
bridal bouquet
grooms boutinniere
musician - Harpist
wedding cake
bottle of champagne
Photographer ~ Misty miotto
brides hair & make up
limousine ~ 3 hours @ $80 per hour
Consulting and Contracting ~ Planner's fees
BBQ buffet for 35 people

It is the food what is costing the most so if you didnt have food there and piad for everyone the wedding would only be $2905 ~ Which i think is really good!!

Like the other Jen I'm from the UK.

Doing an Escape Wedding at SBP for us and 15 guests, a three week stay on site (split between Pop and POFQ), plus Randy Chapman for photos, and a reception for 150 people when we get home. All this is coming in at under £9000 (bearing in mind this also includes the honeymoon, flights being one of our biggest expenses - £1300!).

When average wedding prices in the UK are approximately £20,000 we feel we will have done very well!

My mum is paying for my dress and the fabric for the bridesmaid's dresses, as well as the Model A Ford as a surprise for DF. Aside from this DF and I are paying for everything (unless anyone else offers to help out in the meantime!). It has taken a lot of hard saving but will be totally worth it.

I think this is a key point for anyone considering a Disney wedding. The average wedding in the US is $25,000 and could easily get up to $60,000 or more depending on where you live. You can have a very nice wedding (with a lot less stress) at Disney for $25,000.

If your guests will have to travel to your location anyway, they often can make a short vacation out of a trip to Disney.

Personally, when I started planning something VERY small it was easily approaching the $5000 I was going to spend on a Disney wedding...so I followed my heart and got the wedding I wanted at Disney.
