WDW website particularly glitchy this morning!

Website seems to be coming back cause I was able to see my reservations, FPs, etc. How's it working for you guys?

I just checked and all my stuff seems to be there. Thank goodness.

Wishing lots of pixie dust to anyone making their FP+ right now. pixiedust:

Got all my FP's! Everything I wanted was available. Took 13 minutes to do 5 days worth of planning... if they are still there tomorrow then life is extra good! :goodvibes

Outsourcing as a concept is to save money (which it most time does, but at the expense of quality IMHO)............and yes lowest bidder wins! The point for the outsourcing company is "We can do it cheaper, faster, better"! I've rarely found that it works, at least in my experience............

Doug :goofy:

Not to go too OT, but several folks have discussed that outsourcing has a negative impact on customer experience, but I worked for a company that tok wrk from companies looking to outsource and we consistantly had better metrics than the companies we worked for. Our accuracy was measures( my job) as was our call times, etc (my job to keep a close eye on call time).

Whe the company sent an insurance project overseas the company that monitoted all of the Blue Shield programs in each state meaured their overall performance higher than most in the US. There is a lot more to this than just lwest bidder, but how that bidder handles the work.

Anyway, all my plans are back!

I'm wondering if this is a glitch or not: I cannot make dinner reservations for Hollywood & Vine.

https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/dining/hollywood-studios/hollywood-and-vine/

I found that it does work most of the time but what it does does not necessarily serve me better personally.

The subject is pretty complicated to be sure. I know that our company was better at what we did and faster and less expensive than the "mother" companies, but when we sent the insurance project overseas, they blew the doors off of us. I am ot saying that I was okay with teh practices they employed, but that also is another story.

I guess everyone who's been impacted has a story about "outsourcing". Again maybe I haven't been so lucky............in my 30 years in IT..........I've never seen an outsource work as it was initially intended. To cut costs.........they cuts staff and "cut" corners IMHO o_O. With overseas outsourcing I've never seen it be easy..............can't tell ya what 1am in the morning meetings are like..........NOT FUN!

In the case of Disney, I don't know myself if they outsource they're IT work..............but if they do..........they should FIRE that group! Way to many problems on EVERY install. With the size and financial availability they should be better than this. :D

Or if they haven't they should use the folks who handled our IT. They were brilliant!

Now I feel like I am off topic, but it is related to the original topic. I got an email from My Disney Experience today saying,
"Hello, Donna! Welcome to Disneyworld.com!
Creating a personalized dream Disney vacation has never been easier—sign in from a computer or mobile device using the email you provided."

Very peculiar being I have had my account since My Disney Experience came about, and it seems to be a welcome letter of sorts.

I have been checking repeatedly and always see that there are no times. Someone said that was for fantastic and try 99 days out, but still nothing. We finally decided we weren't going to bother with it since I didn't want to take the time to call Disney, we are going to try someplace different

Did this affect the parks? People trying to use their FP's?

They sent me that before our last trip in April 2014, and just received one for our January trip.

Trying to link my new Disney Visa to my account & well, at least it's Donald denying me this time instead of Stitch. :crazy2: Guess I'll try again tomorrow!
