Grrrrrrr - there will be a Game 7 --- grrrrrrrr. There was no love lost in this game - both benches emptied as the final buzzer sounded and it was a free-for-all for a couple of minutes. So, once again, Go Aeros. (Final score was 2-1)
Now back to your regularly scheduled NHL game. And pass the Crispix.

I will pull for your Aeros with you since I don't believe my team's AHL afilliate even made the playoffs. Besides, how can you not like a team with such a cool logo?

I appreciate your support, JW. I seem to be alone in my home team loyalty (since nobody else gives a rat's hindquarters about the Aeros - which I completely understand) so I'm glad you've jumped aboard.
Game 7 will be played Thursday at 6 Central (********) time. Interesting choice of day and time.

AP, good luck in game 7, hopefully your Aero(smith)’s will have better success than the Ducks. I do realize that they are playing a Canadian team but I have no allegiances to the Bull Dogs so for you my friend “Go Aero’s Go!”

Lizzie and Madonna. I was thinking about the two of you last night as I watch the second period of the hockey game. As I finished mentally undressing the two of you I came up with the answerer as to why they released Frizzy Haired Boy’s CD at the same time as Clay and 205 – my guess that the producers and marketers are hoping that America will fall in love with him again with the release of J2K. I believe that a song or two on his album are from the movie. After coming to this conclusion I returned my thoughts to you two being naked.

Jwill, too bad about the Ducks but what really sucks is that it looks like we will be subjected to watching more of the top teams playing the neutral zone trap crap. I for one find this very boring hockey and wish that the NHL would do something to combat it. Do you think that the NHL would have the guts to get the Hanson brothers out there to stir things up, open the ice and use what ever means they so desire? Let’s hope that the trap ends soon. Personally, I doubt it.

Higgs, you can not give up on your singing, what else we will use to keep the Mods away.

Boss, I don't mind the Devils winning, but don't really care for the trap either. One of the big problems I see is the size of the goalie's equipment which I think they will deal with this off season. It's one thing for the elite goaltenders to be amazing but when guys like the Wild's Fernandez and Rollison, not exactely household names do this well; somethings wrong.
One of the best moments last night was when Ken Daneyko played his first game of the finals and held the cup over his head, the crowd went wild.

Thanks jwill...am I the only one who is disappointed that Jersey won?!? I mean - don't get me wrong - I LOVE Jersey...IMHO Brodeur is one of the top goalie's and they have SEVERAL star players...but (there's always a but) they've won 3 already in the past 9 years?!? I just think it's nice to see a different team win it for a change, makes the game *less predictable*

Alas - no one can argue anymore that the Ducks didn't deserve to be there - I mean at least they showed up - played like hell and were not a *Cinderella story* as the media were making them out to be...they went 7 games and weren't *swept* (Im thinking Florida Panthers being swept by Detroit in the Stanley Cup finals a few years back here - now THAT was pathetic...)

Funny you should mention the goaltenders jwill. I don't know if you saw anything on Sir Patrick Roy, the best goaltender to ever don the pads (just ask him) but the difference in the size of his equipment from when he broke into the league in 1986 to now is quite astonishing. I am a huge Roy fan but let the talent take over. I believe that it was John Davidson who said something like there was a time when the goalies equipment was for his protection, now its used to stop the puck.

Madonna, I was disappointed last night, and I don't like the Devils so that had a little to do with it, too. But I couldn't stand it when the classless New Jersey fans booed Giguere when he was awarded the Conn Smythe trophy.
