Ewww.....who sneezed all over these reports on my desk?!? Someone slimed em.

AP, I heard there was SNOW in some parts of the state yesterday!

Err....I think I found your nose hiding under my desk. Likes to run, eh?

After having some what of a crapy day yesterday I see that it was no where near that of Bs - I hope that you contain those hacks and snorts, if not what will become of OT:confused:

Hey OT, you have under your name "Welcome to the Chalk Circle" I hate to sound like a newbie - which I know that I do, but that reference has been made on some of the other boards I participate in.

Thanks for finding my nose, OT. You're a good man. There, I said it. Now I've ruined your reputation.
Can someone tell me why the air conditioning is on in my office building even though it's not even 45 degrees outside? Grrrrrrrrr.

No, you don't sound like a newbie. You DO sound like you're hallucinating...what, "Welcome to the Chalk Circle" are you referring to?

You know AP, maybe you caught that cold in WDW. Did you get all wet on Splash Mountain and then have your log get stuck under that air conditioning vent just before the "dock"? Brrrrr...now that's cold!

Well if it'll make you feel any better, it's going to be about 2 degrees F around here tonight, not counting the wind chill.

I am SO glad that someone brought this up...does ANYONE know why on earth they have an air conditioning vent RIGHT there?

I mean it's great when it's hot - but I went in DL at the end of January...man you want to talk cold???

I thought it was maybe to dry off the guests or the logs or just to annoy the pants off of people who are soaking wet.
I skipped Splash this time - uh ... I was too busy slurping up BTMRR geyser water.
It's my sinuses telling me to move up north so they could dry out, but I'll not let my sinuses trick me into doing that. I've seen snow on tv enough to know that it's not worth it.;) But the puffy eyes and swollen nose and cotton-head euphoria make me question the value of living in the Gulf breezes of Houston. Perhaps I should talk about this with my cow, Bessie, when I get home.

Ever have to go to the bathroom while cold, wet and having that blast of air hit you?? (That's not water sloshing around the bottom of the log.)

I think I have a solution!! AP and Madonna switch places!

Or better yet, why don't we consolidate the WDWWDS and have everyone move to New England.

You can't make me - I won't do it. There is no good barbecue in New England. And no good Mexican food (not Tex-Mex but real Mexican). And it's too darn cold. My little feetsies wouldn't be able to handle it. How about we move to the desert Southwest... Arizona maybe?
-AP (BS)

Well it's still bloody cold and a lot of the state is covered in ice and snow... it's a good thing I live on the breezy Gulf coast because I don't have any of that - nyah nyah! But please, someone send me my usual balmy weather!
I did manage to stay warm late last night... because my cat chose to sleep on my head (does that mean I'm a hothead?) all night. Good kitty - keep mommy warm and suffocated. Breathing in cat fur does wonders for your nasal allergies, let me tell ya.
-AP (BS)

AP: Looks like you lucked out with the Ice. It was quite a mess from what I saw on the news this morning.

Well you know us Texans have no clue as to how to drive in "wintery weather" so we make it ten times worse. Bubba has to drive his 4WD monster truck even slower than usual, and Sissy has to put the top up on her convertible. I was scared to drive last year when I was in Fort Worth and it snowed (if you can call it that - it didn't stick for very long on the ground and was mostly icy) but as you can see I made it okay.
But thank goodness I live in the "good" part of the state. That healthy layer of smog helps to keep the temps up and the snow away.:p

Hello everyone

It seems that the cold weather is nothing but one big pain in the butt. Although us Canadians have become accustomed to driving in the snow it still does nothing for the frigid temperatures we experience through out the winter. Tell you what AP, maybe I can teach Bubba and Sissy to drive in the snow if he can teach me how to mount a horse.

Maybe you and the rest of the members can help me out here and in doing so can keep warm. I will be going to WDW in the spring for a couple of weeks with my wife and was wondering if I could get some feedback on which restaurants to go to. We have tried Spoodles, California Bar, Cindy’s Castle, V&A, and Fulton’s to name a few. I am hoping that you guys can tell me your favorite along with what WATER to drink with each meal. As well you might even want to recommend a certain dish? Any recommendations on restaurants in Downtown Disney?

I look forward to your feedback, try to keep warm.
:)

Hmm I don't know what you all are complaining about...It's a lovely day here, in the 70s and the sun is shining. Too bad I have to work. This is the best time of year here!!!!

Jas, I'm sticking my tongue out at you.

Springsteen (we've gotta come up with a shorter nickname for you) - Hands down, Boma is awesome. I am an adventurous diner, so I go for the more "native/ethnic" foods, but Boma can appeal to many, many people. I ate myself silly there and had to roll back to the bus stop, but there is so much to choose from and everything that I tried I liked. I also love Restaurant Akershus - I could simply eat off of the cold selections and be happy, but the rustic, filling hot selections round out the perfect meal (lamb, reindeer, pork, salmon) and the a la carte desserts are fab (I recommend the Rice Cream). I also love the Kona Cafe (in the Polynesian) - the Mahi Mahi sandwich is oh so decadent (but request extra napkins, it's a juicy one) and the Kona Salad is exquisite. I can also recommend Narcoosee's if you're in the mood for seafood, and do try the Earl Grey Tea Cheesecake - it's my personal favorite and can't be found anywhere else. Or you can try a new favorite of mine - the Tomato-Basil-Buffalo Mozzarella on Focaccia Bread Sandwich. It's only found in the Main Street Bakery and is so, so filling and absolute heaven. The moist mozzerella is to die for. I could go on and on about the food, so if you need any more descriptions or suggestions, just ask!

Thanks Boogersnot, I am now very hungry. I guess it's my turn to stick my tongue out at you. :p

WOW AP, you have made my stomach growl - I will print this off and bring it along with me. Like you I am adventurous, although if I ate reindeer my wife would give me crap for eating Rudolph:D Definitely a big seafood lover, thus Narcoosee's here I come:cool:

Please keep them coming:D

AP, how about Boss for a nickname or are there any suggestions (I am afraid to see what comes up):)

I've been away for a couple of days, but I saw this and I just had to jump it...I think our fearless leader has hit the nail on the head...I second the motion that the entire WDWWDS should relocate to New England!
AP...we have great BBQ and Mexican here (esp. in Maine...) We have Taco Bell, On the Border...all the biggies!
(Actually we do have a pretty good Mexican restaurant called Margaritas more Mexican than Tex-Mex...but I'm no expert there...
As for the snow...at least in Maine it isn't snowing anymore....it's just a pleasant sunny winter day here today...you would be fine (if you enjoy -2 temps...:))
So there's my vote...I think we should move the WDWWDS to New England...I'd be happy to head up the Maine branch!

Ta-Ta...

Wow….it sure is quiet here…are we all considering the move to New England???
