Hi everyone! So this is where the WDWWDS gathers. I had always wondered about that.... I just want to put in my vote for the water at the backwards-waterfall in Epcot. It has a very light and slightly imaginative taste to it.
I also like the spring in the lobby of the Wilderness Lodge. It has kind of a woodsy taste, yet is pure since it is filtered deep within the earth. Plus it's easy to get to! For a more bubbly flavor, just head down the creek to Silver Creek Falls. It's tasty!!! You may also drink from anywhere along the creek as the spring flows all the way to the pool (and out to Bay Lake if I recall correctly). Just pick a different spot for a slightly different flavor! Yum!!!

Good call on the Backwards Fountain...I often use that water to enhance my memory...

Just wanted to pop in and say hey.

Welcome yensid. As a friendly reminder: never drink the GMR water. It has been "fouled" from time to time by the Alien. One such incident caused our fearless leader ( OT ) to engage in uncontrollable porcelain bus driving. Do your self a favor and avoid that H2O.

Thanks for the welcome and the tip about GMR! I've noticed that alien lurking about suspiciously on previous visits. Good thing I didn't drink the water on those trips!

Yesnid....also avoid drinking too much it's a small world water at a sitting...

People who drink to much...have a tendency to start singing an inane song over and over and over and over and over....

Avoid that at all costs...

I am here in the dusty, abandoned halls of the once-mighty WDWWDS...
Where has the society gone?
The research lab is shuttered and the funding has dried up...did the WDWWPS finally win? Or do we still have a membership that believes in the principles that the WDWWDS was founded on??
1) WDW water and its magical powers should be free for everyone's consumption
2) to constantly find new uses for that precious water...

I think we still need the WDWWDS...is anyone with me???

I sincerely hope the WDWWDS hasn't, ahem, evaporated!! Since I found you guys/gals not all that long ago, I think it would be a shame to see it's efforts go to waste. I tend to think of it more like the group doesn't have a viable foe to fight against at the moment. Kind of like an army getting smaller if there isn't someone to oppose them. But we probably should keep the Society building looking nice, ya know. We could have a fixer-upper weekend to clean up the place....
*Okay, you knew it was coming, so here's the Star Wars reference.*
Think of the group as the Jedi of WDW water drinking. We're always around even if not needed. When duty calls, we're there to do whatever is necessary to spread the wonderous water to all.

I've been reading Dune for the second time, so all this water talk has me thinking of Still Suits and water disapline.

Personally, I have been so busy preparing for my trip across one of the little ponds (the Atlantic), that I haven't had time to post much. Even though I will be crossing several thousand miles of ocean soon (from NYC to Bahamas and back), I know I still won't be able to drink the sacred waters of WDW. Sad.......water, water everywhere, but not a drop to drink.
Since I leave Friday morning for the Big Apple, I may not get a chance to post again. Hope you all have a great 4th and I'll talk to you on July 8th.

Looks like two WDWWDS execs are jumping the big pond! Jen is in Sweden as we speak!

Bring back samples!! We can always use an exotic flavor in our waters!

BTW...I know it’s not crossing the big pond...but as of Sunday, there will be 3 WDWWDS execs out of the country...I am going to Mexico...I’d bring back some water samples...but you know what they say about the water there...I don’t want to make the entire WDWWDS ill

Back from my trip. I have several samples of the water from the Bahamas. Although amazingly clear (we could still see sunlight on the bottom, even at 70' deep!), it isn't anything we would want to drink.
Give me a '71 SSL water anyday

I would have brought back some water from my Mexican trip...but I didn't want to make the whole WDWWDS sick...

I too brought water back from my travels abroad ... Amsterdam; Stockholm and Gothenburg in Sweden ...

While the waters were quite cold and clear they just don't meet our strict standards. Perhaps the only acceptable European water can be found at DLP.

Geez, I never get to go anywhere except for WDW of course.

Recently I was at Ft. Wilderness, unfortunately the water levels in the creeks and such were too low to test. However, that is not the case now. RAIN, RAIN and MORE RAIN. Will have to go back and take samplings.
