Ruben showed once again why he is going to be the winner...he was great!

Finally.....and this is the one that will get me into trouble here... I am officially sick of Clay....I will acknowledge he has a good voice...but he does nothing for me...in fact...I hated what he did to his song tonight...after saying he was going to go away from ballads....he sings the entire first verse of an uptempo song as a freakin' ballad (and yes, I was relieved when he picked up the pace

I usually stay away from these Clay - Ruben debates, but I am so tired of hearing "he sounds the same every week" about Clay. Have you not heard Ruben every week. I've been saying to DH that he's a Barry White wannabe. He has talent - that is a given - but every song he sings is like Barry White with a twist. He sounded like Barry or Luther lost in Billy Joel land last night.

And as for movement, please stop with outreaching hand gesture at every camera shot. Move a little. I felt bad though, the poor guy was sweating like crazy, just from moving left and right.

Last night Clay went out, started soft and then bang belted it out very well. One of his criticisms is his lack of movement. And there was some (can't call it dancing) but definitely some movement there. His facial expressions - haven't really noticed. I'm so amazed at his voice that I can't really notice anything else.


These criticisms are giving mostly to Clay, but the same apply to Ruben. I'm so glad Simon finally said something. They all get bashed for not doing anything different. It's about time Simon spoke up.

I still cant decide which I want booted more - Trenyce or Kimberly C...as much as they carved Carmen - I actually thought that was one of her best performances...she might be voted out based on the judges critism's - but may stay in 'cause of sympathy votes.

Ok - now - you know how everyone in the WDWWDS is always saying that they are *tired* of Clay?!? Well - now I know how you feel - because for the first time I am saying that I am just *as tired* of Ruben!!!

And FINALLY - Simon said it...(took him long enough) "I would like to hear you sing something other then the Barry White sound.."

Sorry - Clay *changed the tempo with *Tell her about it*, but all it did for me is PROVE this guy can sing anything - but I was more impressed that he was the ONLY ONE of the 7 to *change it up*!!!! Good for you Clay!!!

I also agree with the facial expressions of Clay - but lest we forget the one white glove, the red bandana, the black rubber bracelets the colour purple, the thank-you, thank-you very much upper lip and most recently the 205 shirt??? Point is - you watch, it will become a trademark!!!

Once again - I dont buy an album based on an artist's looks - wish I could say the same for everyone else...

In the words of Marine Josh "Its American Idol, not American Pop Idol, not American R&B Idol, not American Country Idol..." IMHO - Better words have never been spoken on this show...stand by your singing style - you go Josh!!

So that was the Billy Joel special. I was disappointed in the fact that they chose most of his softer stuff but then that has been the trend for the show this year. I would have to agree that Clay was one of the only ones who actually picked up the tempo.

I am really getting tired of the hand waving Barry White, you could not have described him any better Lizzie. I was glad to see that Simon finally said something about what appears to be this one dimensional singer. It was refreshing that they always pick on Clay and yet 205 has not changed his style in weeks.

My bottom 3 for tonight are Trenyce, Kim C. and Kim L, yep, Carmen will be safe. I believe that she was just roasted by all the judges that she will get a lot of sympathy votes just the way the pretend female singer last year, I believe his name was RJ did when he was called a loser.

OK...I know I ranted last night...but Madonna has a point here...I am waiting for Ruben's 205 to become a trademark (though does anyone else find it curious he hasn't worn it in a couple of weeks...I wonder why???)

(and I have never bought an album based on looks either...I have a bunch of Aerosmith and Rolling Stones albums...and believe me those guys are not known for their looks...espically Keith Richards...have you SEEN him lately???? )

Anyway...I think all of the contestants are developing mannerisms that they tend to fall back on....I guess I've just picked up on Clay's the most...

Anyway...that's just my opinion...(but do I know...I can't even find a job...)

Voted for Josh 2 times then voted for Clay 25. That was my reasoning. For each Josh vote I had to voted 12 times for Clay. My husband is calling the psych ward as we speak. Between this Disney trip and AI, he thinks I'm baked.

if AT&T didn't sponser this show - you would ONLY be able to do one vote per phone line...!!! Then they would have to re-count the votes every night...

Actually, I may buy more than 1 CD. One for the house and one for each of the cars. That is what I typically do. So I guess, next time I'll only vote 3 times for Clay. NOT

When the program changes the way people vote, then I'll change the way I vote as well. Right now you can vote as many times as you want and I do.

Maybe if enough people write to FOX, they'll change the way it works.

Hmmm. I heard somebody was denying Steeeeven (say it with a squeal) Tyler's ruggedly handsome good looks. That's a serious infraction. Steeeeeven (say it with a squeal) Tyler is a man's man and quite bootylicious. Joe Perry - hummanahummmanahummmana - that man's abs could withstand cannonballs. Tom Hamilton has boyishly handsome good looks (and pretty, pretty eyes). Joey Kramer's hair is getting better and better with each new year. He's definitely cute. Bradley Whitford has that distinguished professor cuteness about him.
In summary - Aerosmith is full of hot guys, led of course by The Hottest Of Them All.... Steeeeeven (say it with a squeal) Tyler.
