WDW Water: Still sweet and pure!!

If you want a new house, there's a waiting list. I'm looking for a "used" one.

Although, you have to be careful. Some of the houses have defects....there was a certain builder that messed up some of the houses.

And don't be jealous....the queen of pop should be able to afford a Celebration home.

We were just there last Tuesday - they opened a new phase of homes...mind you - they are farther away from the original communtiy...but still - they are new homes.

I can...just not ready to move yet - that "American Life" album of mine didn't do as well as originally anticipated...

Oh yeah Julia DeMato can definitely afford it....being the queen of pop has its benefits.

Well, when I was there in February, they told me the new phase was sold out.....

Well, get your husband to write another movie like Snatch or Lock, Stock and Two Smoking barrels. No more crap like Swept Away!!!

And OT - make sure you check out the new ride in the Magic Kingdom - The Two Blondes on a Waterbed ride...it's an extra park hopper ticket, but Walt gets good women.

Oh - don't get me wrong...I absolutely LOVE the surrounding area of WDW...heck I live in Toronto - so ANYWHERE with palm trees is just fine with me - in fact I want to move to Florida, but you have to admit - as soon as you pass that little "Welcome to Walt Disney World" sign...all of a sudden the road signs are every color of the rainbow, there's no trash, less bugs and the grass seems "greener"!?!

I know I'm late getting in on this conversation but those communities y'all were talking about sound like two areas we have here. Ones called Wakefield, the other is Preston. Preston is in Cary, city our new house is in. The name is great b/c it's affectionally called the Containment Area for Relocated Yankee's. You step 1 foot over into their area and you've automatically raised the price of the home by 100K. It's ridiculous but those houses are immaculate. I would LOVE to live in there. Oh...and they both have PGA golf courses. If you want to be a member of the country club you have to pay over 30K a year.

Anyway, these towns are the concept of New Urbanism. The attorney I worked for in Gainesville, his family was involved in building this type of community up north. I helped work on the brochures and other information materials. These communities are just so neat.

I've looked into homes in Celebration via the Internet and got quite a bit of information myself. Anyone who has been there knows that the area is just amazing. What I really liked about Celebration (last time I was there was last year) was they way it brought you back to the past, everything and everyone seemed so polite and nice. I know that it might mean living in "Pleasantville" but in todays crazy world I think I could go for that. The one thing that got me about the area was the fact that yearly taxes were 2% of the purchase price, thus a $300-400K house and your looking at $6-8K/yr. However, considering that the town is self-sufficient someone has to pay for it and why not the community. Mind you, you darn Americans get to right off a portion of your mortgage for tax purposes, something we can not do here in Canada. (I'm not bitter over that)

But I do know they allow Yankees into Florida....isn't that why the state joined the union to allow old northeners a place to go and eat dinner at 4 p.m. and drive badly???
