WDW Water: Still sweet and pure!!

There is only one thing that bothers me with this whole AI finale. Anyone who knows me knows that I am a numbers guy, give me a couple of numbers and I can see them dancing – sad but true. Ergo, here is my problem.

a) It was stated that 24 million votes came in and that the differential was 1,335 between the two. Ruben got 51% of the vote and Clay 49%. (you can read it on http://www.entertainmenttonight.com/television/a15959.htm)

b) If you go to http://www.accesshollywood.com/news/article.asp?art=2 you will see that they say it was a difference of 130,000 votes

If we consider both sets of data it is clearly visible if proposition A is correct and only 1,335 votes separates the two that this miniscule number is not even close to 2% of 24 million votes (51-49). If you consider proposition B, the differential of 130,000 does not even come close. So what is it America? Ryan last night clearly corrected himself and said that it was a difference of 1,335 votes. Taking that the final number was 24 million (I know it may have been 23.565 million or so), then the percentage differential should have been 0.006%, Ruben with 50.003% and Clay with 49.997%. If that is so then great, do not say a 51/49 percent split.

Now this brings me to my final point. They said last night that Ruben won the state of Florida. Florida seems more like a Clay state. Was Florida the deciding state? Was Florida not the state in question during the last Presidential Election? Should there be a recount here? What is with the state of Florida? Is this another American Conspiracy? Did the CIA and the FBI want Ruben to win? Is this all tied up somehow with the fight on terrorism? I nominate we send in OT who had dealings in Iraq to get to the bottom of this.

Hey boss,
Couldn't bear to take it off. Actually slept in it. I'm still pretty bummed, but I truly believe after seeing Kelly Clarkson last night, that this was the best for Clay.

Now he won't be under the marketing powers of the American Idol producers. They've turned Kelly into a screaming mimi Christina Aguilera wannabe.

GO CLAY!!!

Ok - we are back...LIVE...on *American Idol Buh-Bye*...and WOW! What a finish from AI players!!! After 12 weeks of arguing/yelling and basically just not getting along - we have an American Idol Buh-Bye winner...the top two finalists are MJ and AP....

and the AI winner of the WDWWDS 2003 is.................................................................Miss Jasmine!!!!

Total points from the game are as follows:

Jasmine (our winner) - 20 points
AP - 19
Higgs - 17 (how the heck did he end up third? Closet fan - I'm sure)
Kimdonna - 12
Boss - 11
OT - 10
Mlcar/2Be- 8
Sandy - 7
Nicole - 6
Lizzie/Blu - 3
Jwill - 1 (ask me if Im surprised)

From all of the members of the WDWWDS, Aiken for Clay Aiken Buh-Bye now...(I can't say *sucks to be you* 'cause the guy is already recording an album and his first song hits the radio in a few weeks, which my life sucked like that...)

Be sure to stay tuned for next year's January 2004 show - where one of the celebrity judge's will be Paul McCartney and Mr. Ryan Seacreast will be returning to host yet again (am I the only one who actually LIKES Ryan?!?)

*a whoa - a whoa oh...*

Just a note to WillyJ, CathyCanada, glo, and Alex.....that wasn't a WDWWDS member that used the P-word. We've never seen her before. We're still on the good behavior wagon. Now where's that angel smiley when you need it?

Hmmmm who was it that did say that, huh??? ;) Yep I need that angel smilie.

So I see that I won the big competition. Finally I beat OT at something. But I am a gracious winner and I won't go on and on about my superiority and having a better idea of what the American public likes and wants. ;) :teeth:

Congratulations to Ruben. I like knowing that my two votes did make a difference. I heard they logged 254 million calls (not votes, just people trying to call in). Wow. That's a lot of dialing and redialing, don't ya think?

I agree with AP, no more TV shows.

Hi JP, glad to see you stopped by. :)

nah...it's just if you take the time to gloat - then you won't be able to say you *don't care about AI* anymore...:p

jeez - I can take a hint - no more TV shows...man I try to get our WDWWDS to *do something*, as ALL members seemed to be too busy on other threads to address the water situations here on the Dis about WDW...at first you all agree, it brings our thread back to life - without serious fluff talk about sun YA's and such and then....*poof*...everyone gets all tiffy about it...

may I take this time to remind you that this *AI game* gave us 100 + pages of pure entertainment? (the game started on page 2 of this thread)

Oh - wait - I found something of interest on page 1:

KP reporting in for duty! All is looking well in the waters of WDW. No tigger sightings yet today."

So then - someone call that Tigger dude 'cause apparently THAT was so much fun...

Did someone say clthing optional? I hope you don't get distracted by my rippling abs.

Boss, your numbers skills amaze me, but while you may be a numbers guy - I'm a born skeptic. Personally I don't believe a word of what ryan said last night. It was probably all scripted for suspense and not to make either contestant appear to overpower the other, so that they both remain marketable. I have a real hard time believing that with 24 million votes, only 1,335 votes separated the two. That's a little too close. And, if it were true, I'd ask to recount the absentee ballots. And were any of those ballots the hanging chad kind? Makes the FLorida theory a little more likely, eh?

Anyway, congrats to both Ruben and Clay. Ruben may have won the guaranteed million, but it doesn't sounds like either of them will be eating spaghetti out of a can for a while.

Did I tell you that I look like Ryan and have his personality;)

You crack me up.

Ok I think I'm going to need a picture. When I told you I loved Clay, you gave me all the words to "don't let the sun go down on me"

What can you do to prove your resemblance to Ryan???

Can't wait

What can you do to prove your resemblance to Ryan

Well I am currently adding some hi-lights to my beautiful hair as I plan tonight’s show on Star 98.7. I’m thinking of doing a show on pop up books, my favorite or on the Wonders of being Lizzie. I’d like to give you more detail but not until after the break. Did I mention that I love mirrors and that I look hot:smooth:

So is Ruben's, Madonna. I see you left that info out.

I honestly didn't know that Jas, Clay's was the only site that we ever had on here...link to Ruben's please...

Cool - thanks Jas!

Ok - do you think that this is weird? I mean Lord knows how long that they have had these singles ready to go...so...exactly how long have the producers of AI known that it would go down to Ruben and Clay???

Furthermore...when it was down to Kelly and Justin - they BOTH sang "A Moment Like This", as the song was yet to be released then - and that let the American public decide who was the better singer for that particular song that they intended to release....

things that make you go hummmmmm.....

My idea is that I have no real idea at this point. lol All it is, is a three minute tape explaining why I think I could be the ultimate survivor. Hey maybe I could show them some of our sparring. ;) Seriously, creative is good but I think too creative is bad. And I want to be me, although then I probably wouldn't be picked unless they would still need to fill the pain-in-the-butt role. :p

nah...you wouldn't be picked unless they needed to fill the *angel* role...:o
