A while ago, I recall reading a thread somewhere on DIS about watches. DD is an avid "Pirate" fan and would like to suprise her with one on this trip. Where in the parks do they sell disney related watches? Thanks for the input!
Many places in WDW sell watches. World of Disney in DownTown Disney has them. The hotel gift shops have them. There is an actual watch shop in DownTown Disney, too. The parks sell them. I've seen them in MK and MGM at least.
I got a gold toned Mickey head watch in the art and collectables shop on Main Street, right next to the theater where the VMK stations are. My watch is a braclet style with cut out Mickey heads as the band and a gold head on the face. There are 2 removable links to size it so if you have small wrists like I do, you can make it fit comfortably. It's super cute and I wear it all the time. The only thing about it, I have worn it so much that I can see where the gold has come off in certian spots. I've only had it since Jan so it's too bad there is so much wear showing already.

Not all locations have the same watches however. You may have to look in many locations to find the one you are searching for. DW found her first and most favorite at the WL Merchantile. I slipped down early one morning before departure and actually had them open early so I could buy it as a surprise for her birthday early. On our trip home her watch quit working! Was it fate or else? So when we stopped for gas on our way home I layed the Disney bag containing her new watch in her seat while I was gassing the truck and she and the kids went inside to use the restroom. When she came out she was asking whose package it was and I told her to open it and see. To this day it is her favorite watch, although she now has another one also.
I was the only male travelling with my wife, my daughter and a friend of her's on this trip. DW had eluded that she would love to have the watch, but would not spend that kind of money on herself. So upon departure I asked them to let me make a purchase early before any of them would be ready and come down. That is where the magic began because they graciously agreed. Noone but I knew I had the watch. Then when her's quit working on our return trip, I felt like there was no better time than the present to give it to her. The kids didn't even know whose package was in the seat. Yes it was a special moment, and now how do you top that??? She now wears a gold wedding band encircled with Mickey Heads!!!! Now I need some help on going higher than that!!! Please any suggestions? Don't get me wrong, she is not difficult to please or demanding, I just want to KEEP her !!!!!!
That is real sweet... DisneyNutz...nice story! Thanks for everyone's replies..I still wonder though, has anyone seen a pirate's wdw watch? It would make her so happy and she so well deserves a suprise!
Yes they do and as a matter of fact 2 weeks ago when we were there the watch place in MGM on Sunset I think it is,had a pirate watch and lithogragh as a set if you purchased $50 dollars you could get them for $15.

I don't know if it has to be something for her to wear, but my DH bought me sets of china (for everyday use) for my b-day and I love them. You can try something like. Have fun looking for things.
I to the watch store on Main St, for me it was a Tink Bulova watch, but it is beautiful. It was not unreasonable either , I have a few Bulova's and the Tink one was I want to say a little less expensive then the one I wear all the time... I need waterproof because I rarely take it off , so most of the other watches did not work for my lifestyle.
They were great in the store and willing to spend the time with me, and I appreciated that
Jenna45, I bought the same watch. Every trip, I buy a new one every trip. The weird thing is, I don't even wear watches. I just love the way they look in the store.
