I will do Disney 1-2 days at the end of the month. My question though is why with the great deals do people not see all the parks in Orlando.

Forget the 7-day Hopper, which I've been commenting on in past threads and the lack of a deal it is.

I have three-day Universal/IOA passes (never expire) for $100 cdn and Seaworld 2-day passes (expire) for $65 cdn.

So for 5 days a family of 4 goes for $660 cdn. For Disney I am looking at $75/person/day.

Sorry 5 days at $600 vs. 2-days for $600 and my decision is made.

I know this is a pro Disney board but the prices are out of line.....

We always do both, that way we get 2 years out of both sets of tickets. The USF is a great deal.

Never been to USF/IOA and don't plan to did Sea World in Dec and once was enough we love Disney and even with the cost of passes you can't beat it so we just stick with Disney.

Darren you really should give USF a try one day. The price can't be beat. We love Disney, we love that fairy tale feeling you have the whole time you are there, but we also spend 2 days at USF/IOA because of all the great things they have to offer. The spiderman ride is the best ride ever in my opinion, and your kids would love Seuss Landing.

Another vote for USF/IOA!:D

We always make a stop over for a visit and have always loved it.....plus it's soooo nice to have a park that cares about it's Canadian visitors and gives us a little "break"!:sunny:

I agree that both UF and SW are great places to visit. I bought the 3-day @ par UF tickets and have used one day each visit and we just buy SW at their ticket window @ par. It's a nice change of pace with the big roller coasters etc. and my kids LOVE feeding and touching the dolphins at SW. I find SW is a beautiful and restful park to walk around too which has never been crowded when we've been there.

Some friends of ours offered to pay for us to go to Universal for the day just to get us there but we declined our oldest daughter ins't into Dr Suess and we did Sea World but USF doesn't appeal to us if we want the big rides we will drive the 2 hours to Wonderland when we go to Florida it is for Disney the only other place we are going to go to is the Florida Aquarium but that will be it. I don't even care to go to Kennedy Space Centre go figure.

We've done USF/IOA/Seaworld 3 times but this year we will be sticking to WDW.

I think there's more to do at WDW & there's also something about that magical feeling at the parks...Disney just does it "right". I would certainly recommend that people try the other parks (they are great) but it is not something we will do each visit to Florida....whereas WDW is a must...we stay on site. I don't find the other parks as entertaining (we did IOA & USF in 1 day last visit)...some of the rides are "the best" (love Back to the Future) but over-all we feel that Disney offers a better overall "package".

DSNY FN - Look into my eyes, you are getting sleepy (LOL). Wonderland does not compare to USF. My children 6 and 9 and all would love USF. It is MGM but bigger and a little different. IOA, we've never been to and are looking forward to, though not huge fans of roller coasters.

I don't get the animosity..... Personally I don't get paying $75 for WDW, then taking 2 hours to do a sit down meal..... Time is money when it comes to old Walt.

How the kids wouldn't enjoy Back to the Future or ET, Jaws.... I don't know.... And at half the price.

How many times can you ride 'It's a small world' or do the 'Jungle Cruise'? And trust me I like them too.

Breakdown and enjoy some of the other Orlando attractions.

My view simply is that for $33/day I do not feel pressured to do it all.....

Only thing Disney has are some characters and the parades (which require arriving early for a spot).

Can I ask where you buy the Universal Tickets? We just got back from WDW and before we left I was trying to see about tickets to Universal but found the prices way too high. I'm looking into it for next year. Would appreciate some info! Thanks!

Bonnie

CAA has 3 day Universal passes that never expire. $109 for an adult and $94 for a child, and that is Canadian funds.

Great prices through CAA! We still have 2 days left from Nov/Dec 2000 trip for USF/IOA and we'll be using them next March.;)

I agree with Julie too......Seaworld is a must to see, as the tranquil settings and the calmness of everything is sooo appealing to us.It is such a beautiful park and you can really take your time and enjoy all they have to offer!:) :sunny:

Is there still free Beer testing at the Busch beer Garden at SeaWorld.

Kids loved it and with the return pass, you can go for half a day to the exhibits you like and not feel put upon to use the full day.

Well I hate to say it but it just isn't worth my money to go to USF IOA we like big rides and will go to Cedar Point for extreme rides and Wonderland for a day trip but USF just doesn't appeal to us so for my it is a waste of time and my money just like some people say spending all that money on Disney is a waste of their money I feel the same about any amount that would be spent on USF and IOA sorry guys just how we feel in this house
Darren

Sorry..... Sounds way too much like a Hatfield/McCoys thing. I love Disney, thus must hate USF.

One day at half the price, and something new and different...... Sounds like a steal to me.

I never said we hated USF/IOA I just said we had no desire to go there just our personal choice like everyone has if you choose to go to USF IOA then more power to you and if you think you are getting a good deal then great the deal is only as good as you yourself persieve it to be so a free ticket to some would be a deal you could not turn down for most that is but for us even a free ticket is not a deal as we do not desire to see USF IOA so again a deal is only a deal if you are wishing to go to the place

Love Disney..Love USF and really love Seaworld...all different and enjoyable...we would not go to Orlando without seeing them all. We go for two weeks though and have lots of time.

We go for 12 to 14 days in Dec and stay on Disney property your right it is lots of time but not nearly enough time if you know what I mean it always sucks coming home to reality
