Ok, sorry if this topic already exists. I looked, but couldn't find one similar.

For the most part, I'm sure the CP and DLR and WDW are going to be similar experiences. But I'm just curious to know what the biggest differences are. I live a lot closer to Disneyland. I have been there more times growing up and know the area better. But there is a huge part of me that would rather do the program at WDW.

To me it seems Disneyworld will be more of the experience I have been waiting for, and more of an all around fun atmosphere. Can anyone tell me some of the biggest pros and cons of each? Right now, I am really leaning towards trying to get into WDW, but I just don't know.

And on a similar note, can anyone tell me which program is more popular? (as in has more students attending. I believe WDW is a bigger program overall, but I'm not sure)

Thanks!

While most everyone on this message board is going to tell you to go to WDW and DLR doesn't have a good program, I know many people who have gone to the DLR program in person and LOVE it. I will grant you, these people did NOT stay in the housing, which although it's much nicer it's a much more royal pain, so I'm sure that contributed a lot to it. (one of them has gone on to be one of the candidates for Stage Manager for the new World of Color show opening at California Adventure I'm sure you've heard about)

This being said, I'm from San Diego and I'm going to WDW simply because it has better entertainment networking oppurtunities, it's easier to get in to, and due to my age I wouldn't have been able to do Spring 2010 at DLR because the last check in date is in January.

Let me start by saying I've done neither. I do plan on doing both if my life allows me, though.

DLR vs. WDW.

It seems to me that as a program the one in Florida is a lot better.

200 CPs in CA. 7000 CPs in FL.
1 place to live in CA. 3 places in FL.
From what I hear, there's usually only one CP at most to a position in any location in CA, whereas there may be multiple in a group in a location in FL.
So on that note, Disney World is the more popular program. I bet there's a lot more program related activities there, what with there being so many students.

What DLR does have is a much more awesome location. Anaheim > Orlando. That's not all, of course but I'm speaking in terms of the program I haven't heard such great things. Wish me luck though, I plan on coming back with great stories.

I'm starting DLR in a week. I'll come back when I'm done and tell everyone about it.

I didnt realize how few people there were doing to DLR program. That right there about makes my mind up for me. A huge reason I want to do the CP is for the social aspect and making new friends. As far as that goes, it seems like WDW would be a greater opportunity it seems.

I have had similar thoughts when it comes to the DLR CP. Disney Land is soooooooooo much closer to me than Fl. Once I went to Orlando, I was glad I had chosen, Fl cause Disney Wise there is so much more to do, than just the two parks DL has .
