Quick visit with minimal planning (reservations made about 3 weeks prior). My wife and I stayed at CBR (only mod available at time of decesion) which was the only mod we had not stayed at. Knew before we got there main pool was closed but local pools were fine. We had a king room, asked for view but got corner internal in Aruba. Location was building 53, about half way between Aruba and Jamaica bus stops. We used Jamaica since it is first stop. we also had a car.
Food court was ok, food on par with the other mods. Fairly crowded but it was June and a Star Wars weekend. Check-in was a breeze, arrived at CBR around 1:30. Could not get better view, a little disapointing but no biggie. I knew that CBR has no elevators but I guess it didn't register until we had to carry bags upstairs. Wasn't a big isue for us but could be for some. Of course you could use bell services.
We had dinner ressies at Rose and Crown at 4:50, drove over and had a very enjoyable meal. Tried the bluetini, pretty nice drink. Late night for EPCOT and stayed until about midnight. Crowds were pretty heavy but not unbearable. (We have not been in June since the 80's normal trips are Feb-May, September and early december so crowds appeared to be significant to us).
Wednsday we took the Keys to Kingdom tour at 9:30, I highly recommend this tour. We then went to Hollywood Studios, late park. Used bus to go to MK and car for HS. We ate at Turf Club in Saratoga Springs, enjoyable.
Thursday went to MK in morning and AK in afternoon. Ate at the WAVE for lunch, food and service was good, a little trendy but not over the top. Lunch was about $45 no alcohol. We use Disney Dining Experience.
Friday went to HS for Star Wars, got there later then we hoped and waited quite a while to greet characters. Never been to Star Wars weekends so cant tell from experience but park was way crowded around the Star wars stuff. We ate at Mama Melrose, always consitent, nice but not extra special.
Friday night back to MK for late night.
Ate at Kona Cafe Sayurday morning and did quick walk thru EPCOT before leaving to airport.
Observations-
Bus service was a bit off, seemed like 30 or more minutes between busses, except on Friday morning when we waited for HS bus for 45 minutes and finally got on EPCOT bus, walked thru to boat (no time saved but better than waiting at stop). Good thing we used Jamaica, by Aruba busses were just about filled.
Travel back to CBR seemed better.
We will probably not go back in summer months, too spoiled by lighter crowds albeit shorter park hours when we normally go.
