Feeling incredibly lost and trying to learn some new info on this board, but am in a bit of a time crunch so hoping someone can give me a few quick pointers.

My family and I are travelling to Glasgow in May, and while we are there making a quick trip up to London. So today I get the brilliant idea that while in London I must go to Disneyland Paris. Well, had a minor heart attack when I first put in the dates and got the prices. Then I notice the post about the flash sale for park tickets, and so the ball starts rolling.

My question is this...am I missing something price wise here....I looked on the Disneyland site and 3 nights 4 days for 2 adults and 2 children at santa fe is 694 pounds (don't know where that symbol is on my keyboard LOL) That is supposed to include accomodations and tickets?

if I were to get the flash sale tickets at 45 euros which is roughly 37 pounds X four days X four people I am looking at 592 pounds which has not factored in a hotel room yet? How can the Disneyland site be so cheap? Are there other fees not shown?

Just wondering if I am doing something wrong, because I was thinking of staying off site to save money, and purchase these one day tickets. At WDW it is ALWAYS cheaper to stay off site. Don`t get me wrong, I prefer staying on-site but it`s not always in the budget;)

Also, would it be easy to get from the Gare du Nord station in Paris here?

Thanks again!

The Flash Sale tickets (assuming you are talking about the Carrefour ones) are mostly intended as a one day trip sort of deal - I'm not sure I would do it personally for a 4 day trip myself. (I suspect DLP do it so cheap because they are including it in your hotel price, plus more days = cheaper cost per day)

The package online already seems like a better deal simply because it includes the rooms AND tickets in one. You also get a free continental breakfast every morning and Extra Magic Morning hours in that too. Staying onsite also allows you to have the option to have breakfast in the park for no additional fee too (if you ask to book it upon arrival)

My family never bother with onsite hotels at WDW, but we tried Santa Fe our first time at DLP and I don't think we would EVER consider going to DLP and not staying onsite honestly. Everything is within a short distance and it means you are never too far away from the magic. (Even at Santa Fe, the walk to the park is about 20 mins or so, or a 10-15 min bus ride) There are offsite alternatives, but I just think they are less...fun? You certainly don't have the freedom to come and go as much as you please, as the onsite hotels offer.

Some people like the offsite offerings, the Dream Castle and Kyriad are popular with those on a budget from what I can tell -though IMO, if this is your one chance to do DLP - I would really stress trying to stay onsite as I think that's the best way to experience it IMO (and I think it's worth that bit extra)

Disneyland Paris is much more similar to Disneyland CA than to WDW.
Two park within 5 minutes walking distance, a Resort Hotel straight over the entrance, other hotels within 10-15 minutes of walking distance, just over the Disney Village (i.e. Downtown Disney).
Moreover the resort has 2 value hotels, that are much much much better than the value in WDW. The hotel Cheyenne is my favorite: a Far West city, one of the best theming in any Disney Hotel and it is a Value! Not many amenities (no pool, no air conditioning), but very magical!

However the resort hotels can also cost a bit. They make many offers, up to 50% off, more common in the 20% - 40% range, so you should try to research a bit.

There are some off site options that are quite convenient too. The Kyriad Hotel is just 5 minutes away from the park entrance with a free shuttle and it has good prices.

Next May I'll try to do a "cheap Disneyland" trip. It's for a meetup of an online community, so I thought that I don't want to stay in a Disney hotel and go the "save money" route.
I've found an hotel room (up to three people) for 45 euro a night near a train station only 10 minutes away from the park. I'll add an annual Dream passport with the shareholder discount (170 euro), and I'll have 4 night - 5 days (extra Magic hours included) in the park for less than half than staying in a Disney Hotel (and an annual passport to use next trip for new year eve).

So you have a wide range of options, but for your first stay I suggest that if you can afford it try to stay in a Disney Hotel, really magical.

We had no choice really but to stay offsite as we are 5 adults so we would have had to get 2 rooms in a Disneyland hotel which was way out of our budget. In the end we got 4 nights + tickets for about £785 staying offsite, which I thought was not bad. The big money saver for us was buying annual passes- if you want 3+ days of tickets it seems always better to go for an AP than day passes. A fantasy AP (which has a few blackout dates where you can't visit) is just 119 euros on ce multiavantages and you can get a free pass for a child under 7 with every adult pass. These offer 10% off food, drinks and shops in the park. To get no blackout dates & EMH you need the dream pass which is 149 euros.

On this particular trip you are possibly still better onsite but just wanted to point out that there are better ticket options for longer offsite stays :)

Prices on this site are really great. Is this site reliable?
It seems too good to be true.

If you do a search you'll find several posts about them. There's a fair few people who have bought them here and used them plus many more who will be using them in the coming months.

This site and others sell tickets (air, concert, days out), package holidays, hotels etc a low prices to workers in France who have a "comité d'entreprise" I think you'd say works social comittee in English

They open up their offers to everyone else who pays them an annual joining fee of 15/20€

You can buy from them no pb :goodvibes

Thanks for the info. Since I'm a shareholder, if I have to pay the joining fee I'll pay a total identical to the price with the shareholder discount, so I'll buy it at the parks, but it's nice to know: if more people have to buy the passports it can be a very good value.

Maybe (probably) in the Disney offer the children go free as they often do under 12

The flash sale as said is for people looking at 1 day visits.

There are offers around for 3 day-2 park tickets but as yet I haven't seen the new prices.

Otherwise as said above look at getting AP's with free AP's for children under 7 if yours qualify :)

Also, would it be easy to get from the Gare du Nord station in Paris here?

Thanks again!

It's very easy. You go by RER B or D from Gare du Nord 1 stop to Chatelet les Halles just change plateform to the RER A and direct to MLV-Chessy and the gates of Disneyland - Would take you an hour :goodvibes

Thanks everyone!
I guess my question about the train station is invalid, as I didn't realize the Eurostar goes right to the Disneyland resort :rolleyes1

I find the website very confusing. The price I was getting on the website was £694 for the Sante Fe resort, and £771 for Newport. This was with the 40% off, and today I am getting completely different and much higher prices.

What is the best possible way to book?

Thanks again for all your help!

Edit: I did find the 40% offer, but I had to google it!

You only have 1 direct train per day (and not always every day) the rest are into Paris-Gare du Nord and then an hour with the RER or you must change at Lille with again an hours journey :goodvibes

Travelling to Disney?

Direct Eurostar trains from the UK to Disneyland® Paris leave at 10:17 and leave from Disneyland® Paris to the UK at 18:02 daily but these will not run on Tuesdays and Saturdays except during UK school holidays.
Remember you can still travel to Disneyland® Paris via TGV with just one simple change in Lille, or travel to Paris and take the the regional RER train.

In the Disney hotel there are also some rooms for up to 6 people. Never reverved one of those, but they should be available.
