WDW vet - not sure about DL?

Live six miles off Disneyworld property. Going back for the second time in two years to DL. Love it. Love Cali (wouldn't live there, but we love visiting).

I just wanted to thank everyone again for the info I received on this thread.

It was wishful thinking on our part thinking my husband could get time off on his first year of his new job for a quick getaway to DL. We're putting some money aside now so that if he gets laid off this winter (December or January before school starts again for me) that we can go for a few days as long as we can stay afloat. Otherwise, our first trip to DL won't be until after our next trip to the World, but I know it will be worth the wait!

Dtr_angel, take it from me it is worth the wait!!! I am in total agreement with the PP's. I just started going to DLR. I am going into my fourth year in a row. Such an awesome place! I am a WDW vet, having gone so many times I really do like to count them. I go at least 5-6 times a year to WDW. I am going to make it to DL twice this year, too.

The biggest thing is going to be the cross-country flight. I personally like SW because of the two (2) free bags. I always bring so much back, and this definitely helps. I have flown into both LAX and SNA. I like SNA better, but LAX has more flight choices, especially from the east coast. It is so hard to get a direct flight, unless you are willing to pay a lot of money. So, I go with the one (1) connection. It is more money I can spend at DLR. I am right up the road from you in Jersey. Once you go, you will be scheming (yes that is what I said), to go back every chance you get.

HydroGuy, I know you heard from all the PP's, but your threads are the best. You are our Robo on the WDW side.:worship: I want to thank all the other DLR DIS'ers who helped me when I first started going.:cheer2: I was totally lost on my first trip. I would like to think I am getting closer to being a DLR vet. I aspire to it.

I know what you mean. We've gone to DLR several times in the last 4 years. I want to take the family to WDW but the cost is prohibitive. I have a plan/wish that I hope to be able to do it.

Good luck.
