I am loading pictures so I can write my trip report about my first visit to DLP.
I LOVED IT!!:banana:Their versions of Space Mountain, Pirates, BTM and Phantom Manor (HM) were just amazing! And we loved Crush's Coaster and Cinemagique.:thumbsup2

The biggest difference we noticed was the staff. While some CMs were very nice, there wasn't that all of friendly vibe you see in most CMs at WDW. And also, the friendly vibe between guests wasn't there. And we almost fell over when we saw people climbing over the fenced in areas on Main Street (never seen that at WDW) to watch fireworks.

OH-and at WDW, a CM dressed to work on in one area cannot cross into another area. While having gelato in Fantasyland, we saw a CM with a Cafe Hyperion uniform cleaning tables. We saw a CM dressed like a pirate on Main Street during a parade (I have a picture of it that I will include in the trip report).

We stayed at the Kyriad, which was a nice clean hotel and the buses were fast and efficient.

Stay tuned for the trip report.

So glad you appreciate "our" park, sounds like you have had a great trip!! I'm off next Thursday and can't wait! I adore the parks and I love it when I see a visitor from across the pond sounds positive about their vacation!

I agree about the CM's and guests, it's a different culture in Europe, but most of us find a grievance somewhere along the line. Luckily I tend to find CM's I get on with and kind of stick to those, but I do prefer the "we are all one" attitude in WDW :thumbsup2

Looking forward to you report!! popcorn::

We are Florida veterans too and also recently returned from our first DLRP trip.

Found most of the CMs, hotel staff, shop assistants really helpful and friendly.
Having said that there wasn't any interaction at all either between CMs and us, or fellow guests when in a queue for a ride.
In Orlando people would be talking to you asking where you are from etc, it was almost kind of being in a Stepford theme park.

That said we had a great time and found the travelling aspect much easier.

Welcome back :wave2: glad you had a great time. I'm very impressed by how you're already starting your trip report. :goodvibes

Sounds lovely, welcome back, glad to hear you enjoyed your stay. I don't have anything to compare it to but think DLP is very magical. Such dedication on the trippie .... will go check it out now :surfweb:
