WDW "Vacation A Day" Contest!

My husband received a call from a 321-632-4732 number and all it showed is it was from Cocoa, Fl. He said it was a recorded message and he just hung up. I freaked and tried calling the number but it doesn't go through. He said it was some type of travel advertisement. Darnit I was hoping it was Disney!!! I checked his email and spam and nothing... Oh well, maybe another FL number will call. It was just coincidental because he said he never gets telemarketing calls on his cell and I enter him in a contest and he starts getting travel ones. He was kinda annoyed I googled the number and several websites say it is a scam number...

Have entered every day since promotion started I really want to win but I never win anything so guess I am dreaming that we win.

Can't believe that no one on here has posted a win yet. Last year seems like we had a winner in the first few days of the contest Thought for sure someone on here would have won already.

So ready to see a winner! I have been entering daily and have (finally) gotten DH on board as well, though I am sure he thinks I am nutty. He refuses to fantasy plan with me.

WHEN we win (how's that for hopefulness?), we will choose WDW and would probably try for a stay at the CR simply because of the ease of access to the MK, although my #1 resort that I'd like to try is actually the Poly.

I'd definitely choose WDW. I still have a monorail loop long 'to do' list there. Which resort would depend on whether or not my parents could join us. If they couldn't and monorail resorts were on the list, I'd choose one of those, but I don't know which one. I'd need to be able to have a room that would sleep that third kid, too.

I have informed my family to answer any calls with the 212 area code. LOL Luckily, they all understand my Disney addiction and try to indulge me.

Past winners have said they were notified by Fedex or from a 212 phone number (new york.)

I can't believe the DIS hasn't seen a winner yet! Does anyone know when they'll start selecting winners? I thought it would be in the first week or so, but maybe they start next week?

Since I erroneously answered before, here's what I would pick:
WDW, at - in order of preference, most to least- WL, Poly (if we do when there's no construction), YC, or BC. I would try to go over fall break (week before Halloween), but Dh might still prefer to go in winter, when we would normally go. Another thought would be to go first week of Dec, and then tack on a few days at Universal (the dark side) to celebrate DD's 11th bday at Ollivanders before flying home. Yeah, ideally, I'd like to do that last one!

I think there were about 4 or 5 dis winners from last year and they started there own trip planning thread. It was pretty exciting to hear them describe how they won.

I was one of the winners for 'One More Disney Day' in 2012 and the trip planners are great in working with those that needed additional planning outside the prize.

Someone who previously won chose DLR and extended their stay there, then they toured other parts of CA before their return flight home. I thought that was rather brilliant planning as the date of the return flight doesn't have to match the dates of the hotel ressies. We would do that if we chose CA.

Myself, and another winner in the 2012 'One More Disney Day contest, both did that. We stayed an additional week, after the Disney portion, doing other things in California before coming home. It was amazing!

So DH and I have been entering every day. Now I find this thread and I'm entering full on neurosis!

Now that I know what area code to look for I'm staring at my phone to will it to ring... and I have a feeling I'm going to end up on some kind of watchlist for stalking the poor FedEx guy!

I'm secretly hoping we'll get the call on the 15th for DH's birthday!

As for the trip- we would go to WDW, hands down. We've been to DLR tons of times (AP holders for several years) but I've never been to WDW and DH hasn't been in over ten years. I don't even know where to begin on which resort we'd stay in... but we would definitely go during the off season since we don't have kiddos to worry about. Originally, we were planning a trip for the first week of Feb 2015, so it looks like we would have to move it up a week for the end of Jan! And, adding days of course. Maybe a split stay... so many decisions!

No DISer winner yet? I thought for sure there would be one by now!

If we won we'd go back to WDW. I would LOVE a trip to DL but we're in SE GA and my DH is too afraid to fly.

If February is an option we might swing an anniversary tip (even though it isn't /really/ our anniversary until February 29, 2016. Or we might go for my birthday/star wars weekends in May.

Poly has always been my dream resort and if that is an option that's where we'd go.

I know this is faulty thinking, but based on how many DIS winners there were last year, I am convinced they haven't started notifying the winners yet! Don't try to tell me otherwise!!!
