WDW/Univesal trip

[Disney 4 2]

If 4 adults are going to WDW/Universal the last of January 2011 would you recommend Universal or WDW first?

It would be a Sunday to Sunday trip and I have been to WDW 8 times and Universal once.

I was planning WDW Sunday through Wed. and then swtich on Thursday but I am having 2nd thoughts. I believe that maybe doing Harry Potter during the week would be better then the weekend.

Are you planning to stay onsite at Universal? If so, you will definitely want to do Universal last since the unlimited Express access for hotel guests will spoil you and you won't be able to wait in lines at Disney.

Even if you aren't staying onsite, I still say Universal second so you can relax for a while before you go home.

I always do Disney before Universal for fear of a let down. I love both Disney and Universal for what they each offer, but bottom line is Disney has very few thrill rides that can compete with the ones at Universal. I'm always afraid if I did Universal first, I simply wouldn't enjoy Everest, Test Track, and the others as much as I do otherwise.

We do Universal first because we are from the west coast and don't like getting up early with the time difference, and with express pass we don't need to. Plus, we are huge HP fans and now love WWOHP and I wouldn't want to wait a week or two to get there. We have been to WDW so many times, we don't spend a lot of time in the WDW parks anymore, so are perfectly happy with a couple rides a day.

We always do Disney first, because we stay onsite at Universal, usually the
Hard Rock, and as Metro stated, you can't go from no waiting in lines to waiting in lines
