Hi

I am going to Florida for honeymoon in July this year, just wanted to know where is the best place to purchase tickets for WDW, Seal World, Universal.

Is it cheaper to book them online, through a travel agent or when you get the the US, if so any recommendations on websites/compaines etc..

We will only be in Orlando for 10 days so we only need a 10 day pass.

We've bought from www.Mapleleaftickets.com :thumbsup2

You can look at the prices online and either pay for delivery to the UK or your accommodation or collect them at their Kissimmee office.
If you print off, or mention, their online ticket offers they will honour them :sunny:

We've pre-ordered and collected, had delivered and, this last trip, just called in and bought :)
We found them very helpful, with competitive prices and you can walk right in and buy :thumbsup2

Universal are currently doing a 2-day 2-park pass offer with 3 extra days free. They do have to be used consecutively but still work out a good deal at $99.99 + tax. If you go to www.universalorlando.com you can look at the various ticket offers.

If you want to visit Sea World as well, depending on how many days you want to visit you might be better off buying a 4-park flex ticket. From memory, I think www.attractionticketsdirect.co.uk do these for about £110.

Alternatively, they sell Sea World passes on their own for about £35 - and, again, I think there is currently an offer where you can return any time within 7 days as many times as you want by upgrading the tickets free at Guest Services.

For Disney World tickets, you have various options. If you are only there 10 days and you want to do Sea World and Universal/IOA as well, that means you probably won't want any more than 7 days maximum for Disney. You can buy a 7-day Ultimate ticket, which gives you access to the water parks etc. as well but, personally, I think these wouldn't be economical as you only have 10 days in total anyway. An alternative would be to check out the prices for the Magic Your Way (MYW) tickets. There are various options that you can add on, such as 'plus' visits, hopping privileges and non-expiry (which could be useful if you intend to go back in the future).

We usually find that, during a 14-day holiday, we don't go to Disney any more than about 6 or 7 days.

If you register at www.mousesavers.com to receive the monthly newsletter, they quite often have discounts on MYW tickets from www.ticketmania.com or www.undercovertourist.com

We used Undercover Tourist last year and were really pleased with the service.

Hope this helps :)

We have used MapleLeaf for many years, they are reliable, good value for money and issue actual tickets not vouchers.
I have recommended them to a number of people and never had any complaints.

Staying in Kissimmee we find it convenient to wait until we arrive and buy direct from their store on the 192.

We currently have the Magic Your Way premium tickets, with hopper and non expiry facility which also includes 5 water park visits - think these will last us another 2 holidays at least, and Annual Passes for Universal - which work out great value for money if you are regular visitors (you can only buy through Universal though).

As far as the passes are concerned I think you would need to decide if you are likely to go back? If not check out the UK sites,if so then the US sites as there are more options available & with non-expiry option. As far as US/IOA,SW etc there isn't a lot of difference between both sides of the Atlantic & may just depend on discounts or special prices.I would always buy before going As I've stated in other posts,as that way whatever money you take across is all spending money!
SD :firefight

Is it just me or are the "Magic Your Way" tickets difficult to understand?

I didn't have a problem with the old Park Hoppers but these new ones are darn confusing! The array of prices and (so called) options is mind boggling - and I write Korn Shell Unix scripts for a living!

Edit ...

I've just checked Attraction Tickets Direct and they're selling 7 day MYW with park hopping and water parks for £162 / £140. For the five of us that would be a mind boggling £788 - why our children suddenly become "Adults" at the tender age of 10 is beyond me.

Looking at Maple Leaf, 7 days with hopping and WP's are (the current equivalent of) £138 / £ 120 - a total of £672. It's a similar story for Universal with 5 Park Flex tickets being £134 / £114 from the UK and £127 / £107 from Maple Leaf - that's another saving of £45.

It seems to me that if we bought the same tickets from Maple Leaf we'd be saving £161! And seeing as we'll be spending the best part of £1300  on tickets for our next visit every saving counts!

Thanks Alison and Johnny for the tip about Maple Leaf!

They do issue tickets at discounted prices AndRu and it is also good to be able to visit their store and buy there and then, it just feels better than getting them sent in the post.

I do agree about the MYW tickets , however our tickets are just perfect for us in that we have 10 day park + 5 day water park, with no expiry and hopper facility.
We don't go to WDW excessively so these should last us a few holidays.
When I say 'excessively', we visit them quite a lot but a 10 day pass would last us probably 2 holidays I would say, the important thing we do is if we go to say MK in the morning (which we do a few times), we have the flexibility to go to say MGM or EPCOT in the evening whilst only using 1 day off the ticket.

I actually think Universal APs are better value for money than the Flex Ticket, they are just $179 each and you get a host of benefits including free parking, 10% discounts etc, parking at $10 a time so we are saving $60/70 at least! You even get 10% off an ice cream or bag of sweets :) in addition the pass is quite cool with your photo on, naturally that had nothing to do with decision to buy them
Plus when we renewed ours it was just $99 - I guess it depends on how much you visit US/IOA - in our case we go there at least 6 or 7 times in our 3 week holiday. Joshua loves US.

If you are are Virgin Flying club member do you get a 10% discount when purchasing the Orlando attraction tickets from Virgin Holidays?

If so that would bring a 7 day Pass for Disney and a 4 Park flexticket for 2 adults to £503.

Good price?

we bought our universal tickets from universal online and opted for the 2day ticket with 3 free plus free kid ticket. for our disney tickets we checked all the prices prior to going and thought we would pop into the kissimmee location for the tickets. on arriving though we found that the wallmart on us27 had a vaction ticket shop and the worked out cheaper than anyone else by about 50c-$1 a ticket.
