WDW Trip-February 2012!!

Hello! I'm not really "new" to this message board, but this is my first time posting. (I've been a member since August.) Anyway, let me just give a little introduction.....My name is Kayla, I'm 13, and I've been to WDW 7 times. BTW-My last name isn't "Smith" either. lol. So, we are planning a trip to WDW for February 2012. I've always wanted to go to Disney with my dad, even though he did come with in October 2004, I just don't remember it. All the other 6 times it's just been me and my mom (Not that there's anything wrong with that ) And the reason my dad won't go with is because...he hates Disney. He hates Orlando. And he hates Florida. Now I know what you're thinking, "How can he hate Disney?!" Well, It's not really Disney that he hates, just the fact that it's in Florida. He spent a good 20 years of his life down there and he's done his time. ANYWAY- back on the subject! I'm sooooo very excited, because I finally talked him into going with us in February! We plan to drive there (18 hr drive) and stay in a condo. (I don't think it's a good idea to stay on-site with him!!) We will have 5 days at the parks. (kinda short compared to the other trips) I'll keep updating till February!!

That's good that you sorta convinced him.I guess Floorida can have it's crazy weather sometimes. Well, I hope you have a good time and if you need help ask! Maybe you could plan some things that you think your dad will enjoy for your trip.

Besides that, if you want to get more disney time with your whole family and less Florida time, you might want to consider Disneyland in California. My family's been to WDW four times, but this summer we are doing kind of a California tour trip and we are taking a day or two to visit Disneyland! I hope to help a lot with the planning and stuff.

yeah, disneyland would be a nicer alternative if its florida that he doesnt like. weather is rreeallyy nice this time of year (except now) haha. super dry and weird weather right now, but i love the weather here in southern california. granted disneyland isnt as big as wdw, its still nice

That's soooooo AMAZING! Im so excited for you!!!! For my family, its my dad who plans all the trips, and he surprised my mom, my brother, and I for my moms birthday in April, and then we went on our annual 2 week trip in August. :/. Thanks! And I thought I would let you know, Disneyland is too far away for us. We live in Chicago, and if we all go that means we have to drive in a car or in our motor home, because we have 2 dogs, and 6 hamsters. We can't possibly fly with all our pets! lol. It would take a long time to drive from Chicago to Anaheim!
