There are buses only from the All-Stars, Pop Century, and CBR Custom House stop. The buses run only when there are events scheduled at EWWS, so the hours vary each day. And when they are running, they run only twice an hour.

If you are at a different resort, you need to go to a park and transfer to a bus to one of the 3 resorts I listed to get the EWWS bus. It can be a long process.

The bus service between DHS and EWWS is no longer offered.

Really? I took the bus from EWWS to DHS just this past March. Perhaps it was a special occasion for the ESPN 5K packet pickup, but it was definitely running. I took a cab there, and the cab dispatcher told me it would take 30 minutes to pick me up for the return trip. Instead of waiting around, I poked around until I found that bus.

Yes, probably was a special event bus, since ESPN Weekend was spread across both DHS & EWWS this year.

Was it a Disney Transport bus, or a charter bus (like Mears or Dynamic)?

So, should the buses be running to/from the above mentioned resorts during Disneys youth soccer tournament?

Yes, the buses generally run whenever there is a scheduled event at EWWS.

Since this is a major event, there may also be charter buses running between the official host resorts and EWWS. I noticed on the event description:
"Specially-priced packages for athletes, coaches and spectators include hotel accommodations, theme park tickets, transportation and admission to all tournament games"
Here is the link to the event page:
Disney Cup International Youth Soccer Tournament

Was curious as we are not purchasing the "package", but it sounds like it should be ok, we rent a vehicle, but some friends who are going were asking, thanks.

To save A LOT of time and hassle, I would strongly recommend just grabbing a cab and paying the few dollars.

If at a resort without direct service, yes.

If staying at AS, Pop, or a location at CBR within easy walk of Custom House, there's no hassle. And the buses leave EWWS on the hour and half-hour, so being at the resort stop at that time pretty much guarantees you'll be at EWWS in about 25 minutes.

Don't know how often charter buses run, when they're provided. It probably varies by event.

Disney Transport.

I would actually rent a car for the day, and will next time I have to go to EWWS. I was pretty PO'd when the Mears dispatcher told me that getting a cab would take 30 minutes. You can pick up/drop off at the Swolphin or the Car Care Center.
