Is there a map or chart showing all the internal WDW transportation options?

1. How to get from a resort to a park?

2. How to get from a resort to DD?

3. How to get from DD to a park?

I think if I can SEE it on a map or print out a chart for reference I won't forget.

I'm getting stressed - worrying about how to get around to see all the holiday decorations and still be able to get back to my resort before the busses stop running. I'm don't want to be stranded.... I want to make rope drop and would like to know how to catch the first bus from my resort.

Can anyone give me a link to a good map? thanks....

Its really not hard.

To get from your resort to a park, walk to the bus stop and read the signs to see which spot to wait for the bus at. When a bus arrives, be sure the sign on the bus says its going to the park you want.

To get from your resort to Down Town Disney - same as above.

To get from DTD to a park? That's a bit more complicated since there is no bus that goes from DTD to a park. You'll need to go to a resort first and then to the park.

So from my resort I can take a bus to a Park or DD?

From DD, I can only take busses to resorts? Then if I want to go to a Park, just find a bus headed that way?

That sounds easy enough.

What about from resort to resort? (Holiday decoration viewing) :santa:

Believe us, once you get there and see the transportation in action, you will see how easy it is. Each resort has buses, well marked, that go to all parks as well as DTD...and the same in reverse. The resort bus stops are very well marked at each park.
Buses do not run between parks and DTD. If you want to travel between, say, MK and DTD, head to the CR and take their bus to DTD. At DHS? walk or boat to BW and take their bus. At AK? Bus to AKL and take their bus. Epcot? Head to BW, or BC and take the DTD bus from there.

As far as holiday decoration viewing...this is what I do each year.
I head to MK, then take the boat from there to WL. Check it out there, then boat over to CR. From there, monorail to the Polyensian and GF. Monorail back to MK. Take the bus from there to BW, check it out and then walk over to the S/D, then over to YC/BC. Then boat to DHS where you can get the bus to AKL and check it out. You can do it all in one day (afternoon or morning) or just fiddle around with routes for the park you'll be at.

On 11/29/10 I have an 8:30 dinner ADR at Yachtsman Steakhouse. That night DHS closes at 8:00 p.m. That's where I'll be that day - no park hopper.

After dinner, I'd like to see the Beach Club, Yacht Club, Dolphin, Swan and Boardwalk lights and Lobby decorations. It might be close to 11 p.m. when I'm trying to get back to Pop.

Should I take a bus from Boardwalk to DD, then a bus to Pop? Would that be the quickest? MK stays open till Midnight (EMH) that night. Would it be quicker to take a bus from Boardwalk to MK, then a bus from MK to Pop? (Epcot closes at 9:30 and AK is not an option at night)

Just trying to see if I can get the hang of it....

If I were going to be at BC at that time of night, and then heading out to check out the resorts holiday decor, and then heading back to POP, I would get a cab. We took a cab from the YC to POP and it was about $10, including tip. POP is about a 5 min ride from YC.
But yes, generally speaking you are getting the hang of it.

I agree completely, you are getting the hang of it.:cool1:
That said, I think you are underestimating the time of your visit to the YC/BC/Swan/Dolphin/Boardwalk that evening. I think dinner at the Yachtsman's Steakhouse can easily take 1 1/2 - 2 hours, if you have a leisurely meal. That make it 10 -10:30 before you finish dinner. Seeing all of those resorts, even though they are all close by, can take a bit of time.
I agree with Goofy4Tink, I would plan on taking a cab, from where ever you end up back to Pop. It is worth it to enjoy the resorts decorations and not worry about a long bus ride back to Pop. The resorts are worth seeing, you will already be there and I always save the cab fare by "brown bagging" lunch at work.
At any rate, Enjoy!!!

Very easy, especially at the deluxe resorts. You can just go to the valet service or bell service and have a cab called for you.

I'm not very familiar with cabs. I realize cash is probably best, but do they take credit and/or debit cards? How about the Disney Reward card? (probably not since the cabs are not Disney owned.)

Thanks!

All of the cabs that are at taxi stands on Disney property, and all of those summoned by the resorts, are Mears Checker Cabs, which do take credit cards. I know they take MC & Visa; not sure about AmEx or Discover.
