How accessible are the tours for one travelling in an ECV.

I am thinking on taking either the Backstage Magic or the Keys to the Kingdom tours.

How fast paced are the tours? Are you rushed going from place to place. Do you need to mention your special needs when making your reservations

The trip reposts on Deb's web site mention the use of a coach for the Backstatge Magic tour. How much of the tour is on the coach or is just to transport you from park to park Is the coach EVC/WC accessable. Would it be better to use a push WC or a cane for the day instead of the ECV.

I can talk about both these tours as I have done them in the past. I am hard of hearing and use a power wheelchair or an ECV when the power chair breaks.
On Backstage Magic the bus is basically transportation from place to place. Some of the stops you may not need the ECV as they are very short so take your cane even if you do take the ECV. For me I am able to do the EPCOT parts of the tour with my cane (there are a few areas that you can only access via a cane at EPCOT) and the MGM part as well. Where I need the power wheelchair is for the Shops, the area backstage in MK for the parade vehicles and the corridors under the MK and since the parade itself is part of that section, the parade. The bus is wheelchair accessible. I always inform them of my needs when I make the reservation so they are prepared.
On one tour we had a couple who both decided at the last minute that they needed ECVs. There is only room for 2 ECVs. They were insisting that they had to have them and they had to go that day since they had resered for that day. They were not pleased when told only 1 could have an ECV because I had reserved in advance and since I had I had priority (plus they had interpreters set up as well and cancelling the interpreters already there was not an option)
BE SURE TO LET THEM KNOW YOUR NEEDS IN ADVANCE!

On Keys of the Kingdom no bus is used. It is fully accessible, even the eating area in Columbia Harbor House. The guide will send your group upstairs and accompany you backstage to a service elevator and take you up (or in my case the terps went with me since they are allowed backstage access as well)

Have fun. Both tours are awesome
